Highly recommend!!
This review is long overdue,
I believe we picked up firewood in early December of 2024. The reason my review is later then I expected. Is due to a fatal head on collision in which my husband and 12 year old special needs son were both involved in. On December 27th 2024, we lost our baby-boy.
Again, my husband and I both highly recommend "MackDaddy Firewood" the service we received was absolutely wonderful. Awesome people here! Since my husband is wheelchair bound he isn't physically able to drive back out there. But as soon as he can, best believe he will definitely continue to be a returning customer!

The first batch of wood was good and seasoned, second one was not good at all. Unfortunately it was not seasoned. Fire wouldn't start and when it did it clogged up the insert, smoke was coming out from the front instead of going up and smoked my house. It also turned the insert completely black. I had to hire a professional company to clean the smoke chamber, and chimney vent cover. Unfortunately it was a costly mistake. My recommendation is to buy a wood moisture meter, and check the wood prior to buying, so you don't make the same mistake like us. The moisture content should be under 20%. The people who run it are very nice, amazing people the review is for the wood itself.

Pros- opened late in the afternoon, just before closing. Very friendly and helpful. Price seemed fair.
Cons- wood is not seasoned. It was wet inside and out. Left out in the rain, not covered. I thought that it was just wet outside. It burned like it was not seasoned. When burned, lots of soot. Poor burning for pine. I was told that it was seasoned. I will be able to use it next year, but I need firewood now. Also, I was told it was a mix of sycamore and pine. About 95% pine.
Not satisfied at all.

Had a great experience here. Wanted to buy fire wood for a trip to Yosemite and didnt wanna pay an arm and a leg for it up there so I made a stop at Mackdaddy's and was pleased at the speed and proffesionalism that I was taken care of with 10/10 would recommend
