He explained each step and took care of all of the paperwork, making the entire process smooth from start to finish. We are extremely happy and thankful for the solar system that Jeff Lionberger and his company designed and installed for our homestead.
We contacted our local electricity provider - they recommended only two solar panel companies, and Jeff (LRE) was a local company. After initial contact, Jeff quickly designed a system for our specific needs and installed it in short order. His system was significantly cheaper than other quotes we have received in the previous two years. In addition, he took the lead with the myriad paperwork with all the agencies and entities involved - all we had to do was sign documents that he produced and distributed.
In 2023, prior to the solar panel installation, we used 11,392 KWH annually. The system he installed was designed to produce 10-12% percent above our normal usage. Actual 2024 production was 15555 KWH - over 25% above of our normal annual usage. The system produced enough electricity for our personal use and fed enough power into the grid that we effectively did not have an electric bill for 2024, except for normal hook-up fees, dawn-to-dusk light, taxes, etc.
Jeff (LRE) is the ONLY solar panel company that we recommend in the local/regional area.

Two years after install I can still say, excellent service, very courteous, knowledgeable and informative throughout the entire experience. All credits and rebates came through as planned and the energy delivery has superseded the initial plan. We purchased our system from LRE in summer of 2017. With tax incentives and SREC payments it paid for itself in less than two years. Jeff provided an estimate of what it would produce and it has been spot on, most months it surpasses estimate. My cousin had received a quote from a competitor, I asked her to talk to Jeff before she proceeded since the quote seemed high to me. He installed a system for her saving her thousands of dollars plus it’s a higher output system. Being a small family owned company, I can assure you that what you are told is 100% truth, unfortunately that’s not the case with everyone pushing solar. Another plus of doing business with LRE, Jeff monitors the output of all the systems he installs, so if there is an issue it gets addressed quickly. I personally know of a couple instances where Jeff has told potential customers they are not a good “fit” for solar, too much shade, not enough roof area, etc. There are a lot of people selling solar but I think you’ll be hard pressed to find more value than what you get with LRE. Five star rating all the way, only because ten is not a choice!
