From the very beginning Craig and Hunter smooth talked us into spending over $60K on our panels. There was reoccurring problems from the beginning with little to no help from these guys to include their office support. They take forever to return phone calls and when they do it’s to prolong your concern even more. We went with a bad connector to the solar/panel and WiFi because they weren’t concerned about us as happy customers they were happy they got our money. Today we continue to fight them to come out to repair the things that have been an issue from the start and they continue to give us the run around about how they have OTHER things going on and how Hunter will be on vacation etc… etc… they have the poorest reputation of giving excellent service AFTER they signed the contract and could care less to help you fix THEIR problems they’ve left you with. We REGRET ever spending our money with this company and would have been a WHOLE LOT better off paying the HIGHER price with someone else with SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! We give them a ZERO on customer satisfaction and now understand why they continue to change their name over and over again to RUN from the customers they’ve screwed over! And no thank you if you think I wrote this review for you to give me a call back or to think I’m going to waste my time on calling your office. Craig’s father in law would have never done his customers this way that’s for sure! We recommend NEW MGMT ASAP!

We brought a solar system from Costal it has been a bad experience and now are battery isn’t working. I just saw the other reviews. Terrible customer service and was just told we have get a IT person. We brought a 60000 system. Cancel with another company to go with them. We want a discount on system seems only right. Seems the solar systems are not best! So dissatisfied with this. No help stuck with a battery that want connect.

I got the system back in May of this year, but wanted to give things a few months before writing a review. The sales folks were good, showing me the options that would work best for me. The system was designed well.

The negative of the company is the the customer service. I had (and still have) large discrepancies between what Georgia Power reports regarding KwH generated vs. what the enphase system is reporting. Some months, the enphase app is reporting nearly 200 KwH more than what Georgia Power's meter is reporting on my bill. Most months there is at least a 100 KwH discrepancy. When I inquired about the discrepancy with Coastal Solar, I received one sentence answers from the engineers. After several back and forth emails, there was still no accurate response from the company. After speaking with Georgia Power, they stated they have to go off the meter readings. So - does this solar system actually produce all the power it says it does? This remains to be unanswered.

While cleaning some sticks off the roof, I happened to find some boxes of drill bits and other tools that were left behind by the installers on the roof.

What made you want to go Solar?
We have employed partial solar arrays at previous residences in other states. After discussion with Georgia Power about pricing advantages to the customer using solar, we opted to undertake a fuller array (23 panels) at our Savannah residence where we now live. The other major factor underpinning our decision concerned response to hurricane situations. The year before our solar installation decision, we had purchased a 22kVa whole-house, natural gas powered generator in order to provide emergency power. The solar array is, we believe, a highly effective complement. Our power situation now has built-in redundancies and is as independent and “stand alone” as we can make it.

Why did you choose Coastal Solar Power (CSP)?
We were aware CSP was well-established and highly reputable in the commercial and agricultural arenas and desired to expand to the residential market. We were attracted to the calm competence displayed by CSP. There was no sense of high pressure in pre-installation discussions. The company and its representatives were extremely timely and responsive. Information provided was well-buttressed and detailed; further, it was comprehensible even to folks like my wife and me.
Company representatives performed a tailored study of our energy use and payments; then, they presented us a model which used “side by side”-analysis (our actual usage patterns/costs compared with what would be the case were an installation made) that aided us in determining when we’d be able to recoup our investment/purchase. The answer was a most welcome surprise: seven or eight years. After that, the entire solar array will truly be working for us; the longer we go, the cheaper it becomes. Warranty terms were also impressive.

How was your service with your installation?
The crew performing the installation was calm and moved with an economy of motion: No wasted effort, no errors. This effort was obviously an indication of their expertise. My wife and I were impressed with how courteous all personnel were; our questions was answered thoroughly and immediately. The crew worked very efficiently and we on-site for a bit more than two and a half days.
Significantly, CSP guided the entire process through Georgia Power acceptance. The portion of the acceptance that was under the direct control of CSP was swift; Georgia Power responded as able, given their work load was heavy. The solar array could not be activated prior to acceptance by Georgia Power. CSP’s approach was deft; it was the reason we had only a comparatively short period between the time CSP finished its active installation and eventual acceptance by Georgia Power. Once, Georgia Power completed acceptance, we —literally— only needed to use one switch.
The system is easy to use. CSP personnel guided us through the operation and monitoring applications. CSP will continue into the future by performing regular inspection and maintenance on the overall system.

It was a good education and journey culminating in an excellent solar array buildout.
Technicians were well versed, installation crew worked long hours to achieve a perfect array and we are generating about 80% of our electricity. Good experience, good people, good results.

Worst customer service ever. My experience has been that they have refused to come and fix the issues we have had with our system that this company has caused. Tried to reach out multiple times to the company only to be given the run around with no reconciliation on their part.

I agree with Jeremy. They were supposed to find a panel for me and Susan said she would call me back in an hour. Little did they know I had planned on buying a whole system that would have cost thousands. This was a test and they failed miserably. 3 hours later and still nothing. I consider it rude and disrespectful like I have nothing better to do than wait for them. I'm not going to do business with them and I would caution anyone else who is thinking of doing so.

I have had my system since November 2017. My electric bill for the last two months , July and august under 80.00 per month. Very satisfied with results. Professional Installation and great service.
