There are times for flexibility and or in the very least grace in expressing that it is impossible to be flexible. My father died and his bank subsequently was frozen. I happened to call LHHWD on the day that the auto-draft was scheduled to be pulled (the same day bank froze). They told me they'd have to wait and see if it would go through. It didn't. I was then given a ~$30.00 fee for the processing problem, and told it must be paid by a week. Living in Northern CA, I didn't trust the mail system, so I opted to pay it immediately using my own credit union info. There goes another $7.00 fee. Then, in unfriendly terms I was told that if this one doesn't go through, I would get another $30.00 fee. I probably wasn't at my nicest either, but my father just died and I'm dealing with all that goes with losing a family member which I am sorry for. I'm also sorry that the agent I spoke with wasn't one of their more compassionate, diplomatic persons in the office. I can imagine this is a time when many people may be having trouble paying bills. It's a shame LHHWD haven't found a billing system without such steep penalty fees.

I find most of my dealings with this agency very frustrating, I realize that most companies feel they are right even if they are wrong. This Water Company and the majority of their Board members will not listen or believe any truths or situations that occur in the district, Their manager will defend their employees without investigating their actions or the facts. I recently had a situation that required a meeting to smooth over ruffled feathers and their management chose to close their ears and just go about their daily operations, I hope this is read and they re consider their " Right " attitude .
These are my dealings and I'm sure there are more which will agree.
