I’m appreciative to have somewhere to bring leaves and yard waste throughout the years. I recently had a large diseased oak tree that I took down and disposed of at the McNeil facility and it couldn’t have been easier. I would much prefer the brush go towards generating energy that can be used for a positive purpose, as opposed to just burning it in my fire pit in my backyard for the next few weeks.

Never had an issue or had to wait. The guys are always friendly. I’m sorry others have had issues, but I have always had an easy time entering, disposing of yard waste, and leaving. Wish they could be open each day.

Don't be fooled, wood plants are the opposite of green - they produce even more emissions than the dirtiest of fossil fuels! Ratepayers do not even benefit from the proposed extension. What it really needs is downsizing.

I appreciate having a place where I can deposit yard waste without paying extra money beyond my property taxes. I have been dumping leaves and sticks there for years without any problems whatever. It's run just fine in spite of the negative reviews I read here. We're lucky to have this service! ****My review is now only 2.5 Stars! It's Friday Nov.10th and the McNeill website says the waste yard may or may not be open due to (Observed) Veterans Day today. I'm told to call the plant directly in order to find out if the yard is open today. I called and guess what? NO ANSWER! You'd think someone could have updated the website or at least had a recording to let me know if it's open or closed. Too much to ask for?

I am grateful to have a place to drop off wood from my landscaping business - they have always been friendly to me and I am happy to work around their hours. It is sad to see how some folks have attacked this business - it happend with many businesses nowadays. WIldfires are burning out of control in Canada, where many say it is due to a lack of select harvesting and clearing of the forest floor that would help with fire prevention. It seems no matter what we do, it is wrong in some peoples eyes.

They’re open 8am to noon? The B.E.D leadership is completely brain dead. Who’s dumping their truck at 8am? I’ll tell you who… The hard-working people that had to drive home with their truck full only to return the next morning— all because the dolts at McNeil can’t be troubled to sit in their guard shack past noon. And don’t even get me started on the idiotic relocating of the leaf bunker… It’s time for new leadership.

I live in the neighborhood of this company, and it often smells like fire. Many have complained of getting headaches as well.

I'm not sure what they are doing to protect the public, but seems like not much.
