Power went off on March 5th, at 230pm. It did not come back on until 5:00 am! I tried calling customer service 10 times no live agent! No response at all other than a call from AI at 5 am. Still unable to speak with anyone. I will be heading to the office. I lost all my meat and freezer foods. I have two smaller freezers and my refrigerator freezer lost all my food!!!!! Why did they not contact me and I could of connected my free,erst somehow to avoid loosing all my food!

Our power has gone out in sunny weather 3 times in 4 weeks.
Once was car accident but the other times were from wires down from trees where the tree was leaning on it for weeks and was never attended to even after letting them know or for reasons we still aren't aware of

I have elderly people living with me 1 on oxygen and it's getting ridiculous.

Everything is a recorded message and computer generated service

I notice the FIRST thing on the website is the icon for "Paying a Bill"

Perhaps we should be getting a credit for the amount of times we are out of service?

The linemen work hard but seem to be out repairing things in many cases that could have been avoided with Common sense approaches to avoid these repeated issues

Horrific price gouging at the cost of customers. Many families are hurting due to the economy and this slime ball service decides to triple everyone's rates during a heat wave! No wonder there are so many hearings in NJ questioning power companies and their greedy practices. Hopefully everyone switches to solar power and puts them out of business in the future. It is what JCPL deserves. Also- When I spoke with someone they said I "opted" to have a new power supplier- NO, nobody signed up to switch..they automatically took your customers and signed them up for a that new supplier and jacked up the rates more. This company and the supplier should be brought to court for fraud.

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Any time there is a thunderstorm, rain, wind, snow...Power goes out. FOR HOURS sometimes days. I've never seen so many people contemplate moving just because the power company is that bad. There aren't enough words in the English language of disgust and anger that could express how I feel about this company. 0 stars.

JCPL are single-handedly the worst power company in the US. Their customer service is trash, every single one of them is rude. The estimate the readings almost every month, and they estimate them way lower so that in the next coming months they can up charge you an insane amount. I specifically said we will not be paying for estimates readings any longer and they noted that they will not charge us for estimates anymore, but for December the estimates again. They also said our bill was $888 when they specifically told us that they were going to break up augusts bill over the next 12 months which they clearly did not do. They don’t even try to work with you. If we could switch companies we would in a heartbeat but sadly we are stuck with them. We will make it a point to buy our next home where JCPL does not service. Cannot NOT recommend them enough

I think it’s funny that in order to have an accurate electric bill would mean that I have to read it myself. The fact that a company is paid to provide a service but actually doesn’t do their job is astounding. And the estimated readings are just pure laziness and a way to really make customers mad. Almost a $700 bill because no one wants to actually work and just guess at their job. I’m now stuck taking my own readings and logging it for them and also stuck with a payment plan. JCP&L ARE A JOKE OF A COMPANY.

Called customer service to start new service. They told me that they had plans to shut off service today but wouldn't make a simple phone call to see if they 1. already shut off service or 2. stop someone from shutting off the service if it didn't happen already. UGH. I asked why and they just say 'they just don't do that'. It's the same company - why is it so hard to make a simple phone call. I asked to speak to a supervisor, the supervisor said they will call me back and never did. The supervisor's name is HAROLD. Terrible company and it's a terrible thing that I have no choice but to use them.
