Today google says they are open. There is a big sign out that says closed for lunch be back in 30 min. These people have a monopoly on the can and bottle recycling in Taft and then they don't have their hours listed properly. There was about 10 cars of people waiting for the opportunity to recycle and they drove in and got stood up. Fuel is expensive and there is a big sign that says no strollers or shopping carts. I wonder, that means they don't care if you burn your gas, or walk up and burn your energy and waste your day waiting for them to open or drive back and check.

Always Super nice Guys helping me unload and just all around good customer service !!! Neil & Becky youve got good people working for you !!! Your doing something right .....good people doing good bussiness in our little town of Taft , California always .

The people are very nice and very helpful. If you don't go at the right time it may be a wait though and sometimes they are not open during normal business hrs. Not sure if these hrs online are correct or not.

The guy who helps me pour my bags full of recyclables in the trash cans to weigh them, is such a hard worker and so nice. He deserves a big raise. Never complains. Always happy.

Always friendly and helpful, never a very long wait. But the parking is minimal. The scale is located in front, and the direction to enter it is backwards to the yard, meaning you then have to turn back around on the highway after weighing, and get in a position to back in to the yard.
This is also where vehicles are entering for recyclables, making a left turn off the highway.

Thank goodness they reopened. They are practicing social distancing, everything must be sorted and ready to be weighed. Expect a waiting time due to only 1 customer at each weigh station.
