After making several home efficiency upgrades, we wanted to see if there was anything else we could do to get our home to run as efficiently and sustainably as possible. We found Home Energy Connection, LLC, to audit our house's energy use. Les and his team came out and inspected our home, reviewed a year's worth of our gas, electricity, and water bills, conducted a blower-door air tightness test, inspected our insulation, appliances, and gas lines, and found several items we could address, which they presented as a "Home Optimizer" report, which had dozens of pictures, information on our systems and their performance, and importantly, an "Improvement Package" section which listed out improvements we could make, and how much each improvement will save us annually on our bill / CO2 emissions. Altogether, their recommendations are projected to reduce our household energy use by 28%, amounting to thousands in savings while enjoying a more comfortable home in the coming years.

We have begun implementing their recommendations and are already seeing some savings in our bills!

Les's inspection was thorough and illuminative. He took his time to answer any questions I had or point out key problem areas that he spotted during the audit. He identified major duct leakage in the attic and a potentially serious internal gas leak in the oven, among many other items large and small. Les found a small gas leak at my dryer connection that no one else had found. It wasn't enough to cause me a problem when the house was open, but when it got cold out and I closed up the house, the headaches started and it was a constant problem.
