Antojitos Oaxaqueños Don Trini had amazing tacos and tamales, this is the closest place I can find to them but the market is amazing also best place to get marinated meat in Hollister.

Exciting things are happening downtown. In my 2 journeys throughout the store, I encountered huitlacoche, some dried whole shrimp at the deli meat counter, conche breads, guacamole making tools... Love the array of different meats like chorizo/offals. Saw aloe drinks/bebidas at the back of the store, my favorite mango yogurt drink, incredible spices, fresh produce, many sale prices 🤑

Yesterday, I visited because I really love their spice section and produce aisle.

I went to the cashier and paid for my stuff in coins and counted them out -- I was pretty sure I counted accurately, but maybe I counted wrong, the cashier said, "You missed a dollar," so I gave them a dollar and then they gave me a quarter in return. (The cashier there was also weirdly performative with the way she/they handled the receipt with the previous customer.) I didn't really say anything at the time because I didn't want to make a fuss, because I've known a lot of customer service people who build resentment against customers who are actually being reasonable, and also, in a holistic sense, I knew if I just gave up the dollar and didn't argue with the cashier, more money would come my way. It was weird, and I think they were power-tripping -- I used to be a cashier and I would never talk to a customer like that or handle change in such a manner. If I were a customer, I'd recommend just going to the self-serve stations.

The overall ambiance of the store is nice and clean, however, with authentic options, and I saw a low-carb tortilla option. I'd probably at that rate just eat meat and not get a low-carb tortilla option, but the option is there for anyone who wants it.

They also have a taqueria inside the market, with fresh in-house made food!

I love the Mexican products. They have a variety of spices, teas and the meat dept has traditional favorites. They carry different Mexican cheeses. The deli is a taqueria in itself. Great for food to go. The staff is attentive and polite. The prices aren't the greatest but the store is great for quick stops.

I just went there today. Literally about an hour ago. I got two mangoes and it's on my receipt that I bought two and so I called and said I only got one of my mangoes And the girl that answered the phone told me that they were going to have to go watch the camera to give me my 99 cent mango. And I said I was going back tomorrow because I'm already cooking dinner. Then she told me she's not going to be there tomorrow. So you're going to go look at the camera tomorrow to see if I got a mango today😐 Really?! I should have saved the rotten onion I bought from you and made you give me a refund how about that! A 99 cent mango. That's not good customer service I'm sorry. Why would I lie about that. If I was going to lie I would say that you didn't give me the meat or something.

Fresh produce of very good quality. A fresh meat butcher's case with knowledgeable butchers to answer questions. Prime shopping for all Latino foods. Super helpful employees. Great store!

August 30 '24 I really like this store, especially it's fresh produce and great sales. I got some very large ripe tomatoes for $1.69/lb, which beats the heck out of every other store in Hollister. Customer service is still great and employees super helpful and friendly. Great store!

Stopped for a super burrito. Not very good, and I'll give you my reasons why. Meat, overcooked. Dry. Lacking in sauce or salsa that could have hidden the dryness. Sorry, next time, I will try something different.

Little disappointed usually it's really good but this time there was hardly any meat in the 2 super burritos I bought my son and husband very sad. But my super tacos were great.
