Called due to our generator not putting out power. He came out and a "tune" up, and then told me just what I knew that it wasn't putting out power and the whole generator would need to taken apart and brushes and a few other things put on. Called my husband and had him tell him, my husband told him to leave and had it fixed within the week with one part and no need to pull apart. I feel like he was just trying to sell me a new one with full installation.

Ripped us off, installed Generac w/o telling our naive butts it needed to be permitted, let me know he was carrying a firearm...
Bottom line...took another $11k to get Generac permitted and only had a basic FU from this scam artist. Avoid at all costs!!!

Or reap what you sow. Sad and sorry semi-businessman...taking advantage of people who do not fully know the rules up here. Do your research!!

We have had an issue for over two months to get someone to actually show up to do the first service on our Generac. Three appointments booked weeks in advance and then no one showed up and meanwhile hours were collecting on the generator. We called several places yesterday again and they were booked out for months. High Sierra returned a call and I explained the situation, our frustration, the hours on the generator and they agreed to try and fit us in. They called this morning and were able to fit us in early this morning before they started their normal day. Edison answered every question we had, walked through the service and what was being done, and suggested a change out for a better battery. Could not be more happy with the prompt service that we received and will be using them in the future.

I needed help with my new generator. When I called High Sierra, they returned my call right away. (I had been calling my original installer for 2 weeks. They had not called me back and another power outage was happening that afternoon.) A gentleman named Edison took the time to talk me through how to open the generator, check the oil level, and how to add oil to get me through the next PG&E power outage which was to happen in a few hours. I can't thank him enough. He was so nice and patient and clear with his instructions. Huge thanks.

Edison responded in the same day for my request to service a severely neglected residential generator. He and his team travelled to our remote location and fixed the generator in a short amount of time. They even brought propane as there was none available onsite. And since I couldn’t be there for the call, Edison emailed me a video of the generator running. All in all, excellent service and well worth the money. Not cheap, but thousands of dollars cheaper than a replacement!

We recently purchased a used motor home from a dealer who misrepresented its condition. It turned out that it had some serious problems with the generator and house charging system. By sheer luck, we found High Sierra Electric not only serviced generators, but they were very experienced with many aspects of RV repair. The problems were rather complex, and probably beyond that which most RV service providers could diagnose, let alone rectify! We wasted a lot of time and money elsewhere, before the most knowledgeable and friendly people at High Sierra Electric solved our many problems, and beyond those electrical. On many occasions, we have called on them for practical advice concerning the care and maintenance of our motor home, which we now use with great confidence that we have such great great support from HSE. They even repaired our home generator free of charge, when gasoline poured out of the carburetor at a most inconvenient time, in snow, rain, and without power! These people are great.

High Sierra Electric installed a home standby generator at my house. They where very professional and I'm super satisfied with the install. The owner of the company walked me through how to operate my unit and the install looks absolutely wonderful! I've had a few other companies do a walk through and HSE was by far the most knowledgeable and thurough. They know what they are doing. I would recommended them by far to anybody. I've got nothing but good to say about this company. I've recommended them to several of my friends.

Highly recommend HSE for your whole home backup generator needs. Edison is always very responsive and highly safety conscious. He came to our home, assessed the options for us, and laid out a plan to ensure our home is never without power when we need it. The final written estimate was clear and simple (and lower than the initial verbal estimate). The work was delivered and installed as promised. Our 22kw Generac generator looks great and Edison and his team clearly showed my wife and I how to operate it.
