For many years I have studied home solar power systems. My focus has been more on emergency grid loss power loss back up than on financial operational savings. A local coffee shop owner has solar systems for his business and home. He introduced me to HE Solar. Derrick Hoffman was contacted for a project conversation. Erick Hoffman came by to design an optimum system. Derrick quickly provided a quote for a 20-panel system with a Tesla PowerWall-3 battery that was ordered. The installation was completed in one day by 2 Master electricians and helpers. When PEC, our grid power provider, and the city building inspectors viewed the installation they both spoke very highly of HE Solar’s installation quality that they also have viewed elsewhere. The system works very well, including selling excess solar power back to the grid. A second PowerWall-3 battery was later added. Derrick and Erick continue to be very responsive to my operational questions, even after the installation. From my initial contact to contracting there has never been any sales pressure from HE Solar. HE Solar is an outstanding full-service organization.

HESolar was a pleasure to work with start to finish! They were professional and responsive. They updated me on every step of the process. I got 3 quotes and feel they offered the best value for the price but also knew being local and master electricians, that they would be around for the long haul. Solar is an investment.. just like buying a car! Will you get every penny back on your solar investment.. maybe.. but what do you get back from your car if you keep it 20 years? Your return is in saving on power, reducing dependence on the grid and if you purchase batteries having a power backup (the Tesla powerwall 3 are awesome!) I highly recommend HESolar.

After a number of quotes and meetings with various Solar companies, we decided to select the Hesolar and the Hoffman brothers. We had an amazing experience, professional crew and could not be happier with the results. We just had an excellent experience working with HESolar for our residential solar installation, including PV panels and whole-house battery. The team presented a great initial design that they quickly adapted based on our feedback. I spoke with 5 different solar installers before choosing HE Solar. I chose them because they came out personally to look at my somewhat unusual installation. Because they were installers and master electricians, they could be very concise on how to do the install. Their work can only be described as a work of art. The equipment, conduit, panels, and install at the meter are so much less obtrusive than I envisioned. This system works for two houses and a separate garage that has our water pump in it. I am now 55-80% self powered--and that is in the fall! They also were the only company that really listened to what I wanted with the results even better than I expected. By the way, they installed a better system for a somewhat lower price than any of the "big" guys. I wholeheartedly recommend this company. The hardest part of dealing with them was trying to tell Eric and Derrick apart! Tom (their Dad) was awesome too!

10 years ago I chose the Hoffman brothers to install my solar system. Today I still cannot express how happy I am with their installation and services. My panels have withstood large hail, hurricane force winds, a foot of drift snow and 120 degree temperatures with zero problems. Small fries wise, a micro inverter went wonky shortly after installation and was replaced right away. As was a ZigBee communication hub that finally gave up after 9+ years, also replaced right away. These guys are organized, professional, talented, kind and simple to work with, they have a great team and are on the ball. Thank you so much!
