Very Bad Experience – Water Cut Off Despite Paying the Bill

Review:
I was shocked to find that my water was cut off even though I had paid my bill online on time. I have children at home, and this situation was completely unacceptable. I tried contacting customer service, but I did not receive a quick response or an immediate solution. I expect the company to improve its online payment system and provide better customer support to prevent such mistakes, which can cause great hardship for families.

They have recently installed a kiosk for payments, HOWEVER, there is an additional charge to use the machine?¿?
Better to mail your payment.

We pay too much. Water policy in California is a joke, and instead of looking for creative solutions to give people more water at more affordable rates, consumers are simply told to use less water and get rid of our lawns.

Helix rips off its customers any way they can.

As a landlord who deals with tenants moving in and out, I am charged a $29 "startup" fee every time I deal with a tenant transfer. So for a few days and less than 1 unit of water (@$5.56) I end up paying a $14 "fixed charge" plus a $29 "Start Up Fee" equalling a bill of $49 and some change. Oh, and want to pay your bill over the phone quickly? That will cost you an additional $5! Why, Helix? Why?

Apparently they are switching out metetes today. In order to do so, water needs to be shut off. There was no known notice of this. Blocking driveways leaving a mess all around the meter box. When I called the office there was no one able to give an answer as to why this was happening today, nor did they have an answer as to why there was no notice sent out. Pretty sure that’s a big violation.
I’m certain that they will be raising water prices again as well.

Early Monday morning we discovered the sound of running water, I placed a call to Helix Irrigation thinking something was wrong with our water meter.
What seemed like a short amount of time two very polite gentlemen arrived to evaluate our problem. Turns out the meter wasn’t the problem but, these two employees discovered a pin hole leak in a irrigation copper pipe. My Son, was able to repair the leak and I
Cannot thank them enough for helping me.
