Received a letter for a free central heating system 3 weeks ago. I applied online and received a call from Stephen (very helpful) in the office after about 5 minutes. I confirmed that I believe I qualified and they booked a survey for the end of the same week. The initial survey is quite invasive but it was explained that it would be needed as they have to take a lot of pictures and paperwork to prove that they have carried out the work. The engineers came out the following week to explain where the boiler and radiators would go. This was all installed on Friday and I am happy with the work carried out. Makes a nice change from the single gas fire in my living room!

Feel very mislead by the company.

I received a letter in the post to say I am eligible for free loft insulation due to the houses shocking EPC rating. I had a one hour survey done to confirm my home was eligible for the great government insulation scheme which it was and got me booked in.

When the ventilation and insulation team arrived at the property. They asked to come 5 hours earlier due to cancellations which I was happy to facilitate.

When they arrived I was told by the ventilation team (who were not working in the loft) that the loft is a mess, that there was insulation everywhere and that they couldn’t carry out the job. When i questioned this and said the house had been surveyed by someone at the company and they didn’t raise this issue. He said that that my joists weren’t structurally sound and that the boards are supporting the joists. They advised when they bounced on the joists they could see movement in the ceiling. I was told by the ventilation gent that one of the loft guys would explain it to me. No one did.
They sat in their vans outside the property and boasted about being done for the day and that they best not get sent anymore jobs by head office. I have had quotes off of multiple companies and none raised any issue with the loft joists. The insulation could of been laid over the small boarded section. I have been fobbed off by them and that they just couldn’t be arsed to do the job.

We received a letter through our door saying that we may qualify for a free boiler. We ended up getting free loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and a boiler upgrade from our over 30 year old back boiler. The office staff were helpful and the surveyor that came out to discuss the boiler location, which ended up going where my old hot water tank was. Overall, a smooth process, which would've cost a fair bit to do myself.

It's been nothing more than a scary encounter with this firm and few others. Our mistake we became got trapped by the letter sent to us for a free heating system that came from Green Phoenix Solutions. Took all our details, did a few surveys and disappered. Then got told the work can't be done and another company will look after your grant... The whole process starts again. In the mean time we got calls from random housing association for applications put under my name. Careful guys... Just be carful. We have the matter registered with ICO, Fraud department and DWP.

Just received our free loft insulation and I am over the moon. I was skeptical at the start, but all of the worries went away after being taken through the process by friendly staff and a helpful team 🙂

There were 2 people canvassing in my area today, they have knocked on my door whilst I was out and spoke with my 15 year old son. I was under the impression they were not allowed to speak to minors/vulnerable people and once they knew he was a minor, they should have walked away. However, they have asked my son for information and asked to be let in to see my boiler. My son did not allow them to enter. They then asked for my phone number to ring and speak to me, again, my son said no.
This is my only experience with this company, but if this is how they operate, I doubt I would ever use them!

Got the Ace Team today, to do the roof insulation. Lovely guys, friendly and efficient! I felt bad for them, as the job wasn't as they had expected - I've never been in the loft since I started renting it! - and I certainly don't envy their drive back (finishing at 3pm on a Friday...). We had our loft insulation done, the ace team came over and were the friendliest couple of people i've ever met. Deffinitly recommend. Very professional and attentitive to care around my house. Nothing bad to say about them.
