They also took out the glued down flooring in our upstairs and replaced it with new material. Everyone we interacted with was fantastic. Ruben, a general contractor at Green Board Up Pros, expanded our house by 1200 square feet. The extension included a master bedroom with an attached spa-like bathroom, two additional bedrooms, an extra bathroom, a living room, a total roof replacement, installation of HVAC, and a laundry room. We couldn't be happier with Ruben and the high-quality work he delivered. What set him apart was his commitment to our project. Unlike many contractors who juggle multiple projects simultaneously, leaving for a week before returning for another day's work, Ruben was consistently present. He and his team were on our site five days a week, adhering to their policy of completing one job before moving on to the next. Every evening, before leaving, the crew would tidy up the site. We had our elderly mother living with us, and this home addition was primarily for her. Ruben was incredibly considerate, checking on her during the day while we were at work. He demonstrated himself to be a reliable and trustworthy individual. We highly recommend him for any home remodeling projects. Our experience with Ruben was incredibly smooth. He communicated in a clear and precise manner, was very respectful and honest. We had an issue with moisture accumulating on the back wall of our garage, with a dirt hillside on the other side beneath the house. Initially, we thought we might need to install a French drain. Ruben inspected the crawlspace and suggested several other steps to take before moving ahead with such an expensive drainage project. Firstly, he discovered a leaky pipe behind the wall where water was gathering against the garage wall, but the rest of the hillside above was dry. This indicated that water wasn't likely coming from the backyard. He recommended getting a plumber to repair the leak, then allowing the area to dry out and waiting for the next rain to see if water was still accumulating in that area. Secondly, he suggested hiring a handyman to make sure the outdoor drainage pipes were correctly connected, as they were not. This would prevent water from flowing into the crawlspace. Finally, if these solutions didn't correct the problem, he proposed installing a sump pump where the water was collecting, which would cost around $2-3K. All these steps were to be taken before considering the more expensive option of installing a French drainage system that could cost around $20k. We truly appreciated Ruben's honesty and will definitely trust him with any future home remodeling needs. Don't hesitate to give him a call!
