I worked on a remodel here in Grass Valley and for the most part it was well done! However they used a subpanel as a raceway! Not sure exactly if it was gray electrical's work at tge panel it is an old bldg.

I went out of my way to ensure that my appointment was booked and that Gray Electric Co would have a representative to get me an installation. The appointment was scheduled for 2PM. This was the latest that they would book, I ensured that I would be there and this was the earliest that I could do.

They agreed to the appointment. On the day of the appointment a representative called and again asked if they could show up earlier, I assured them that 2PM was the best that I could do but I would most definitely be there.

I jumped through hoops to make sure I was going to be on time. 15 minutes before the appointment a representative called and canceled the appointment and said that “They were running behind.”

I don’t believe they had any intention of keeping this appointment and only wanted to reschedule for an earlier time. I find this highly unprofessional and I do not recommend.

Gray Electric is installing a backup generator for me and the technician found a serious fire hazard created by previous owners. Junction boxes that had been covered by new siding caused wires to overheat and the coating was melted off. It was just a matter of time before my house caught fire. I am grateful to the technician who took time to investigate and discover and repair the issue.

The guy they sent out went above and beyond expectation. He was very professional. Just bought an old fixer upper and smelled burning electrical coming from one of the lights. It turned out it was just the old switch the light used. He capped it off and told us we just need to buy a new light fixture for that wall. We had also told them we wanted the power to our out buildings checked, all of it was bad (not surprising) he took down a bunch old wires and cut the power to the old sheds. We are gonna have them do the wiring to those sheds on our next call. Very affordable. I feel much safer in this old place since he checked everything out for us! Thank you Gray Electric!
