I have been a loyal customer of GFL for over 4 years now, faithfully paying my bills on time. However, my recent experience with them has been beyond frustrating. For over 8 weeks now, GFL has forgotten to pick up my trash. Every single day I've been calling their customer service, and every single day they promise that someone will come to collect it, but no one ever shows up.
My trash bins are now overflowing with maggots crawling everywhere—it's utterly disgusting and completely unacceptable. I was told that the manager would call me back over a week ago, but surprise, surprise, I'm still waiting for that call!
GFL has consistently proven themselves to be unreliable and unresponsive. They have no respect for their loyal customers, leaving us to deal with not only the stench but also the health hazards that come with uncollected garbage.
Save yourself the headache and avoid GFL at all costs. They are without a doubt the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

GFL Environmental Services has got to be the absolute worst trash service operation in U.S. history. Every one who receives this service from this service provider should cancel immediately and chose another provider. Lord forbid if you have an issue as I did, since the driver felt the urging need not to service my address, that you are waiting for a supervisor to call back. Apparently the turn around time for the ghostly supervisor to call back is 24-48 hours. But this person does lacks the customer service skills and ambition to call customers back and should definitely not hold this position. I am gladly changing service providers even if I have to pay extra. Better service and customer service DESERVES to be paid for. Save your money and your time because both will be wasted dealing with GFL Environmental Services. This company is truly a joke.

Sometimes they skip or don’t even pick my garbage up. I’m not sure why. Today they grabbed one trash can and not the other. I have 2 garbage cans and they only decide to take one. It’s a hit or miss with this company & lately the service has been terrible. I’ve been with this company for 2-3 years and now I don’t recommend them.

This is what I came home to and to think I pay for this kind of horrible service, 3rd time this year the driver dumped my recycling on the ground and drove off!!
What a classless and irresponsible driver they have employed! I mean who seriously does this and just drives off , pure laziness and a complete thank of respect! Hands down he or she wins worst employee of the year and GFL is by far the worse company I have ever dealt with!
The previous two times I called to voice my concerns and was told I would receive a callback from a manager, still waiting!!
Their customer service and management are horrible so it seems to be the mission statement of GFL to hire the worst possible employees, they are successful in that.
Guess this is the new norm just leave it for someone else!

This is the worst trash service ever. I have been at my residence for 2 months. They are supposed to pick up the trash on Wednesday. At first they were coming on time. Then I received an automated call saying they were short staffed so the trash would be picked up the next day. This happened 2 weeks straight. That was okay because it was expected. After that the trash was not picked up at all. I had to call for them to come out. Nobody of course showed up, then they came at their usual time.
Here it is again. Another week and the trash has not been picked up. Smh. And yes my bill is paid.

I have had service with them for years. They miss pickups, you can never get ahold of anyone and when you do they never help. They normally run on Thursdays around lunch well I called at 3 to to see if they were still coming out they said someone would definitely be out by the end of the day. Friday comes along and still no pickup so I call again at 10 and another lady assured me that I would have it picked up by the end of the day. Saturday rolls around and still no pickup. I call Monday morning and the lady apologized and said it would be Tuesday and they would not pick up and additional bags beside the can since they missed pickup. Really this is so unprofessional. Horrible

This company is unorganized and lacks communication on a grand level. I received a bill that had a 0 balance and the correct invoice wasn’t sent out until after my bill was due. I spoke to corporate about the issue and they saw the invoices, scheduled my pickup to begin again and waived the fees as I didn’t get the right information. Today my bin was taken and should not have been, I have a 0 balance. The local office claims there are no notes and I would have to pay to get my bin returned. Unacceptable! He asked me did I speak to corporate or a local office when they should all be communicating together. Now I’m looking for another company because this is the 2nd time they have screwed up and the customer is left hanging. Ridiculous!! If your thinking of them DONT DO IT!

If I can give them a 0 I would. I have set up automatic payments and it would work for about 2 payments and then it stops working and then I am called about the bill and late charge. I set it up again and it starts back again. I pay and then it may or may not show. I even closed the account and they are still asking for payment. The customer service representative just hung up on me. I asked for a supervisor and he stated that I had to wait for 24-48 hours for a call back. No, time window just wait by the phone. Even cancelling them is a headache. So, to avoid all the trouble just don't use them!
