Be careful with your final bill! Georgia Power does NOT retain the daily usage graph on the customer side or the employee side. You will get your final bill about 1-2 months after closing your account but will not be able to confirm the usage because your account is no longer active. So you just have to pay what they tell you with no proof and they will NOT adjust your bill.

Quite easily the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a major utility provider like this. I spent ~10 minutes on hold to speak to a representative to help me setup a new account. The person I connected with was rude, spoke over me multiple times, and told me I had "30-60 seconds" before she would hang up on me. I was on hold for 10 minutes, and probably on the phone with her for 60 seconds. Absolutely unacceptable.

Worst customer service. Worst experience with having a utility “in service”. And worst company to do business with by far unless you have a contract with the State.

At this point, I will seek a complaint against Georgia Power with the State and if the Government of Georgia will not do anything then I’m certain there are Federal powers that can.

Your customer service is more focused on blaming any other issue like inclement weather or the actions of a landlord than actually fixing damaged power lines and transformers.

Your company would rather ignore the fact that every week for over a year, I lose power at my house, but they acknowledge when it’s time to raise rates - whether there’s a reason to or not.

Sick. Sick. Sick and TIRED of such a poorly mismanaged organization having a chance to continue and doing nothing to improve itself. Excuses are the testimony of failure and it’s about time the Residents of Georgia start putting their foot down against such a company. In fact, I think customers should seek complaints against the company for any issue they have experienced, given the reviews I’m seeing: looks like a potential class action.

Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and slow response time in a critical situation makes it clear that GA power is severely lacking in every aspect of service. I’d not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you're in need of reliable service or emergency assistance. They are a complete disappointment. Avoid if you can.

Own a rental property after living there for three years. Tenant moved out and needed to change back to my name. Spoke with three different people (one hung up on me, one sent me back to the start after I asked to speak with a supervisor) who told me that I never had an account. I pulled out an old billing statement and gave them my account number, but they still said it never existed. I expressed my concerns for three years of data just disappearing, but the representative did not care at all and only offered to restart me as a new customer. After expressing my concerns, arguing, and being treated poorly, I had no choice but to restart the account and provide a significant amount of personal data again. Very unimpressed. Expect nothing going in.

16-year resident. Never had issues with plant Bowen. Now massive humming in the middle of the night.

Doesn't happen on the weekends. Doesn't happen during the day.

Causing physical harm to my wife and children. And nothing's being done about it. I've contacted law enforcement. I've contacted Georgia power officials.

NO ONE CARES

Vibrations trespassing on to my property.

Do a safety stand down and quit causing harm to children.

Georgia Power is a place to work, almost all the employees have the same mindset about smiling and being happy ! This must have been a training received from the good Human Resources Department, Kudos, I worked as a security officer there and I am so blessed since I started working here because their smile ignite me every morning and I am proud to be here through my home company Allied Universal!
