Extremely unprofessional and misleading experience. A GASAG representative, pressured me into providing personal information without clear explanations and signed me up for a contract I did not agree to. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, I received no proper response from the sales person. Very disappointing and unacceptable service.
Additionally, regarding Gasag's response: You conveniently have your salesperson knocking on doors and speaking English to foreign residents, yet over the phone, only German-speaking representatives are available. So, no, I will not attempt to call you again. Please stop this unnecessary invasion of people's privacy by knocking on their doors!

Run from them! They were overbilling me for years and when I realized and proved them wrong, they returned only a small part of it. They play dirty and are very untrustworthy. To top that, their Customer service is hell, once you get to contact them. For all those reasons I changed my supplier in 2021. Then, last year, while changing suppliers, they somehow got in charge automatically of the days between the two contracts (without my consent or any notice). And now, I received an Inkasso letter out of the blue with an overblown amount due to the additional inkasso costs. They didn't send me any notice first, they sent the invoice and the reminders to the inbox in a new account they created in my name at gasag.de, which I didn't even know it existed. As I said, they work in very shady ways. Run!

Two supposedly Gasag employees came to my door today telling me they are from the utility service. Then they checked my current electricity contract details and tried to convince me to sign a document. I rejected and she became quite aggressive. Now I’m not even sure if it was a scam or they are really from Gasag? She already has my personal data which is very uncomfortable

Two people came to me yesterday, saying that they're from Vattenfall and they want me to switch to a new tariff.
One day later I find out that actually I signed a new contract with a different company - with Gasag.
This is a company of swindlers.

Do not sign anything with Gesag.
They ask you to sign to confirm the explanation of possible options but your sign will be used for new gesag contract without your confirmation.
Again, do not sign anything just avoid gesag sales.

My encounter with this service provider has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite diligently canceling my contract and settling the last invoice upon moving to a new flat, I was slapped with an additional invoice sent to my old address. To add insult to injury, they levied an extra 60 EUR for reminder fees, all while insisting my contract was canceled and paid.

The absurdity reached its peak when my previous landlord notified me of post from GASAG. Astonishingly, they had added these unwarranted charges despite assurances of closure and payment. Attempts to contact them were met with silence, and their unresponsiveness compounded by the fact that their communication was exclusively in German. It's disheartening to see such disregard for non-German speakers in a cosmopolitan city like this in 2023.

Consider this a cautionary tale—I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, and I strongly discourage anyone from entering into contracts with them. It's a shame that such poor service persists in a city with a vibrant expat community. Regards.

Why do you keep deleting my reviews? They betrayed me on my yearly invoice. They sent a yearly invoice of 776 euros. I asked to pay in instalments even though the numbers are not correct. They promised to make an instalment plan in March already. I have to call every week to ask for an instalment plan and they promise to call back and never to but keep adding fees. What's up with you? You sent yearly bills which are not correct yet I have to pay due to governmental rules and then you don't even set up an instalment plan as promised. UPDATE: no understanding for clients and rejection of instalment plan. thank GOD I am away from those betrayers in 6 months. how do you sleep at night knowing how you treat people. You should be denied to operate in Germany.

they came to my fathers house and told him to change to gasag. he never agreed to anything or signed anything and told them to go away, yet he just received a letter he has a new contract now with gasag although he never agreed to cancel the old provider or signed anything. what a scam!
