For instance, one satisfied customer shared, I will give Fred’s 5 stars for this time. My circulator pump broke on my radiant heat system on the first floor of my house. No heat there. Mike C came and fixed it. Of course, they had to order a new part. I also needed propane and was worried after this current rain that they would not make it up the driveway. After a few days, the part came in and the system was fixed. They also came up the driveway no problem to deliver the propane. I like Fred’s a lot.

Despite the mixed reviews, Fred's Energy remains dedicated to providing quality energy solutions and continuously striving to improve their services based on customer feedback.

With a fun driveway we manually schedule oil refills during the spring without issue.
I scheduled a preventative cleaning of our boiler that has worked flawlessly. They were pretty booked and put me a month out. It hadn't been touched in a while and a simple cleaning turned into a $700 repair bill. It kept tripping after and they sent Chad shortly after I called. swapped out a nozzle that wasn't the correct size and was covered by Fred's warranty. It's been working flawlessly again since.

Don't skip your maintenance..

Had used Fred's for ten years, and they gave me great service, until most recently. The last couple times I ordered heating oil, I had to wait several weeks for delivery. I know it's a small company and it's great that they have so much business, so although I'm not super happy about waiting 3-4 weeks for oil, I can understand.

But, also, the last two orders I placed, there were some issues with our bill as well, where we would pay right away and then get a nasty-gram from them about being overdue a week or so later, when the bank records are clear that they cashed the check before the postmark on the overdue notice.

It's not a problem for me the first time - mistakes happen, but twice in a row - I'm starting to worry that they don't really value me as a customer any more. If it happens again next time, I'm afraid I will have to seek out business elsewhere.

They were very good about getting me oil but not so good at direction. Told them the fill the rear tank and that's where they put their little zip tie to indicate to the driver which one to fill. I also shoveled a path to the rear tank. So they fill the front tank, realized they screwed up and filled the rear tank as well. Didn't bother letting me know they'd made a mistake just kept billing me. I still had no idea they'd put oil in both tanks until I called Them to let them know I'd paid the bill and they'd cashed it already. That was when they told me the driver screwed up but still wanted their money or they were coming back to suck it back out. A friend of mine who knows other guys who work for other oil companies said they told him its the company's fault not mine so they should eat the bill and leave the oil, or they'll receive bad referrals and lose business when he and I talk about this to others. Haven't heard back yet. Wanted to throw out my experience so far though. Not impressed with this family company.

So we got an apartment doing the summer everything was fine when the tank was at 40% we would call in a delivery and it was fine. But with the new years coming i didn't know they would be closed on the Monday of the delivery. It was at 40% and i asked for a delivery and they said they would get one out to me as soon as they can.

The next week i found out about the holiday day off and they never delivered. so my tank is at 28% they cant deliver till the next Monday. So when it comes to situations like this i cant do anything about it other then shut off the heat in the dead of winter and not cook anything to eat. hope i don't freeze over while waiting on them to make a delivery.

I called them up to find out if I'm still in line to have a delivery made for the Monday. Mostly because I'm out of heat and living on a small space heater i borrowed. Anyway i called them and they put me on hold and then when they answered i said hello and told them my name. They hung up the phone. If there is anything that makes someone angry its hanging up the phone on a customer.
Ill keep you all posted on what happens in the next few days.

I called in to make sure I'm still scheduled for a delivery and i told them my address and things. She looked it up and wanted to know who put my order in. I don't know the people there so i could not say. She then told me i was not scheduled for a delivery and she would put me down for an ASAP i asked if its possible to have it delivered today and she told me she would call me back. An hour later i called them back and she told me she put in a ticket for an ASAP and told me if someone happens to be passing by they will deliver it. She also told me that the tank should be fine so long as it don't get to 0% and when i started with these people the guy told me not to let it drop below 30% so i guess I'm fine now so long as i get a delivery.

They came to clean my furnace, which hadn't been done for a long while! They were quick, courteous and efficient. They informed me of what was wrong with it (ended up needing to be replaced) and we're quick to get a quote in for it's replacement. I will definitely hire them for furnace cleanings in the future!

Our furnace was starting and then stopping. The solution turned out to be a combination of multiple plumbing and furnace issues. I cannot think of one company that has all the necessary experts to get the job done. Last night the wind was howling and the temperature went below zero. In the past our furnace would blow out and we would need to stoke up the fireplace. The technicians worked very hard to make sure the furnace was correctly fixed and we got a warm night's sleep. Thank you guys.
