The backwards town of Fayetteville just got more backwards. Fayetteville Utilities just changed there payment services. So now if you have combinded services (electric, water & internet) & your bill is above $500 you have to pay twice. This means 2 CARD SERVICE CHARGES. Way to take more money from your customers. Do not recommend bundling your services. Very poor customer services as normal.

I left a review in 2022, but feel the need to update it. The internet service has got to be the most atrocious in the state. It goes out at least once a day, and we then have to unplug everything and restart it. For what we pay, this is unacceptable and the monopoly this company has over Lincoln County is disgusting. I will be leaving the county as soon as I can, and will sing with joy the day I no longer have to deal with FPU.

My electricity was cut off without a phone call without a letter or any contact at all, when I called about the situation the woman who answered was extremely rude, did not answer any questions and told me that I was lying about not getting a phone call yesterday
did not inform me that they could look over the records the sheriffs office told me that
The woman who answered the phone refused to give me her name and would not let me talk to anyone else.

Great fiber internet. Years ago, I was using a 128K ISDN line from AT&T then went to a WISP for supposedly 3MB which was only about 1 in the evening. Now I have a 125MB of screaming fiber! Can't complain about the power either. Live out in the county and it's reliable and the service is quick if I have issues.

This is the worst electric company in the state of Tennessee. Sister is in hospital and I can't make her payment on the electric ( I mean you should be able pay) so that means because she is getting help to be alive that she will be homeless with her kids on the street. Definitely would not recommend anything in this county as they only care about screwing people over. They only get 1 star as I had to put something. The ladies are so rude and uncaring they must hate to come to work as much as we hate to come to their work. They closed her account for being past due for 5 days and are making her come back to do another deposit to open an account. Crooked company for sure!

Ruining lives! Sold my home called them to disconnect and pay my bill. They said I was good payed what they said I owed and everything resolved. Well one month later get a bill from a collection agency. My number never changed and I gave them my new address. They just didn't try to reach out. So credit will be hit. This kind of negligence and carelessness affects lives.

I'm baffled that I can't pay my bill over the phone in the office.
I'm further baffled that I have to call an external 1 800 number and have all my info to make said payment. This is literally the only utility company that I haven't been able to call and give my name and address and payment information to make a payment. Sometimes a person isn't sitting in front of their bill and just wants to make a payment to avoid charges and make sure things get paid. I've had all kinds of weird issues since I've started having service here. Went when I first bought my house to have a street light installed. Talked to someone and scheduled for it to be done. It never was. I checked back only to be told later they didn't do that. Well... Why not tell me that in the office. Had a bank account get hacked. Had an automatic draft payment fail. Got a letter in the mail the very next day saying I couldn't pay with anything other than check or cashier's check... Had to go to the bank and bring documentation to prove what happened. I'd never missed a payment prior. It's just wild. First world problems I know. But lord have mercy... Y'all already get our money... It doesn't have to be complicated and stressful. ‍♀️
