Location is about 1.5hrs away from SFO airport. Quick drive barely hit any traffic which was great. Grounds are pristine, well maintained and everyday someone is always cleaning. Plenty of chairs to lounge and very organized.

Rooms: I was given a big one. Plenty of space and storage to place your items. Comfortable bed ~ soft side. Pillows were amazing. Rooms come with lotion and other bath essentials. No bathrobe or sleepers unless requested at front desk.
Room tends to get cold, I had to place a towel in my room to block the cold draft coming in.

Overall amazing staff very helpful and always greeting you. Wonderful team. Had a great stay!

Stayed here for a birthday treat. The restaurant Sante was really good and the staff amazing. The rest of the experience was disappointing for a supposedly 5 Star hotel. The room was old although it looked like it had been refreshed recently. The room was extremely noisy from both outside road traffic on Highway 12 as well as neighboring rooms. The shower head was very low and no one over 5' could stand under it. There was no secondary deadlock on the door that you find in other hotels which seems like a big security issue. There was only coffee and tea in the room (aside from the 'free' bottle of wine that's included in the resort fee) no water, snacks or mini bar that I would expect from a 5 star hotel, and have received from other hotels. There are water dispensers scattered around the property but no containers to fill. I know the hotel is Eco and reducing plastic but other hotels provide water bottles, water filters in the room or water provided in reusable glass bottles. The reception staff were not personable and it felt like it was an inconvenience for them to check you in and out. The Valet service was friendly and helpful. The shuttle to town only starts at 2pm which means you have to Uber if you want to go in for brunch or lunch. Lots of room for improvement but we have plans to return!

The hotel had a nice vibe for the area. The rooms were small but comfortable. Beds and linens were crisp and comfy. The restaurant was not available every night. I had to pay for coffee. Complimentary sparkling wine was a nice touch. Spa treatments were very expensive. Good location t visit wineries. Very friendly staff.

Beautiful resort grounds. Rooms were not huge, but nice and the bed was comfortable. We spent a day at the spa, and rented a covered space. We did the hot cold experience (twice) and got massages... awesome day and experience!!

“If I Ever Go Looking For My Heart's Desire Again, I Won't Look Any Further Then My Own Backyard.” - Dorothy |I booked a room here in town where I live for my cousin and I and I felt like I traveled over the rainbow to an entirely different world of luxury, comfort, peacefulness and escape. Our trip was perfect from beginning to end. Christian at valet, Alyssa at check in, and the dinner in Sante was more than a meal, it was a culinary experience. Marina and Melissa made us feel pampered and spoiled. The food and service is amazing. The duck, tortellini and cippolini onions were unique, perfectly prepared and flavorful. Gabriel had the absolute best suggestions for wine pairings. And now they have a good neighbor discount that everyone in Sonoma should enjoy. Thank you Fairmont.

When we arrived, there was a large professional group checking in. However unlike other properties, where a guest service model would be set up to deal with the large group separate from other guests, we were all huddled together in a line that took more than 30 min to get through check in.

Next - we were provided a room that while historic, we simply in disrepair. paper thin walls, with an adjoining room that we could literally hear the word for word conversation of the guest next door, and where wall coverings, floor coverings, and dings and dents in closets, doors, and base boards were prevalent.

Because we arrived on a tuesday night - apparently there is no resturant service? Only a lackluster in room dining with what might have been the most overpriced hamburger I have ever ordered in my life. Served in a basket, picnic style. I frequently travel, and am accoustomed to the cost of in room dining, and generally it is expensive, but quite good. But the combo of overpriced items and underwhelming quality was astounding.

Finally, why does everything smell like bleach? My room. the hallway. The sheets. It was almost if they were trying to hide something. ANd here is a hint - if you are expecting your guests to be impressed by the complementary bottle of wine included in the room, don't make it a $15 safeway special. I am not a wine snob, but seriously? It was BAD.

Overall - I would not in any way recommend this property or plan to return for any event unless someone else is paying for it.

This hotel is so full of history! I think it’s the perfect place for anyone who can appreciate the beauty that comes with age. Even though it’s nearly 100 years old, it’s been so well-maintained and has this amazing historical charm. I loved how cozy, peaceful, and timeless the atmosphere felt.

Oliver at the front desk was so friendly and warm, which made the experience even better.

When i walked in, there was this faint scent of wood burning from the fireplace, and the wooden chessboard and comfortable chairs in the lobby gave the place such a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The champagne we got during check-in was full of flavor and absolutely delicious, and during the afternoon wine hour, I found the best Chardonnay I’ve ever tasted.

Soaking in the healing waters, which were once considered sacred by the native people, while feeling the contrast of the cool air and warm water was such a special and enjoyable experience.

Overall, this hotel is intimate, elegant, and full of history—it’s a place I’ll always cherish and remember.
