Did some research, Gathered quotes, and selected a contractor. Signed a contract in June. Roof done, electrical upgrade done, Solar installed. End of November and still not connected to the grid or functional. Simply put, a disaster. Fighting to get connected.

Henry and Ryan are not friendly. This company does not support small business. They want me to schedule weekly calls and I’m not willing to because I’m too busy running a business. Use solar estimates they are better. I’ve worked with energy sage for years they are falling apart.

The pricing is not asa difficult as it seems in the beginning of your search, and EnergySage allows you to easily compare multiple quotes side by side. The biggest things for me was the reviews of each individual company and their installers. Big investment to let just anyone install it. It took over 2 years to find the right price, time, and installer; But our Energy Sage advisor was really helpful and patient with us. Got multiple quotes, shopped around, and settled on an installer that was really local to us. They had a long history, and decent reviews. When we got into contact with them, they were excellent in answering all our questions. We agreed on the contract, and installation went smoothly. Only issue was PG&E dragging everything out, so any and all fault is PG&E's. Powerwall is working, the app shows energy usage and generated. Very happy with them.

1. It provides a forum from which to solicit solar installation quotes from a group of vetted installers in your area.
2. It offers technical advice, both online and via telephone, on the multiple aspects of acquiring a solar installation.
3. It shields you from direct contact from the vendors, so you don’t get a deluge of emails and phone calls. You do have the option to deal with the vendors if you desire.
4. I quickly received four quotes and was able to compare them using the EnergySage site.
5. I was able to discuss the quotes with my assigned EnergySage advisor which helped me select the best offer.

I now have scheduled installation by the solar contractor which offered the best equipment at a very satisfactory price.

By using SolarSage, we were able to avoid all of the fly by night companies out there who pray on people who are unaware of the solar installation process. They screen all companies, allowing only the reputable ones to bid on your project. Once I got my 10-11 bids, SolarSage was there to provide expert advice to explain the differences in solar equipment and the installation process. They also provided info on which companies were providing rebates on their panels. I just got my $250 rebate! Very happy with the entire process.
