On December 13th, our power was cut off. I contact ED2 to figure out why and they claim because I had an expired card on file. (Was never contacted about this) The card expired in September so they have been running up a bill until December. On December 13th approximately 8AM, I paid $454.94 and was advised nothing further is needed by the representative to turn the electricity back on. Someone who works from home (my employer is located in NY) is thinking that since they shut it off automatically, they can turn it back on automatically. 1PM rolled around and still no power. I call back and was told by the rep “ohh it doesn’t turn back on automatically, you need a tv remote, go outside, aim the remote at the box and turn it back on” no where on the website does it list any of this information. Others have even complained about this the business Google page. I call back upset that they made me miss work hours for something so simple and ask for the manager (Casey) I explain to him the lack of care from the customer service team and that I want a refund for my missed work hours. He said he needs to speak to Ken but he agreed that they don’t have this information anywhere and the he will make sure to get the website updated with this info. He also says he Will personally call me back on Jan 8th Jan 8th rolled around, still no call. I called every day up until today’s date just to be told by Casey that Ken thinks I don’t deserve a refund. Not only that, but ED2 also forgot to turn my solar panels back on so since December 13th, they have been off due to a carless attitude from the ED2 team and because of that, I have to waste more money. I just don’t find that fair

Normally I have had good support from this utility. Recently they changed the way they restore power for seasonal customers. However, when I called to have my power restored I was not informed that I needed a TV remote to make it happen when I arrived. This led to a difficult time for me especially since they were closed on a Friday.

The office ladies were helpful when we bought our home and connected power. We have had service for a year and a half and never any issues. Even during all the storms. Website is easy to make payments.

We have been with the Electrical District for 2 years - awesome, so friendly and willing to accommodate - when arriving on a Saturday from North Dakota, the new automated system had not activated our service - it was 90+ degrees and a/c was needed - called the 'help' line and a service rep was at our site within a half hour - fantastic gyz - also, since we are on the road a lot, there are times when our bill does not catch up with us - a simple phone call and the gals in the office take care of it for us - and in such a polite and professional manner - thanks loads
