I cannot speak for the product itself since I was not able to get any adequate assistance from the company to get it to work as it should. However, I most certainly CAN speak about their customer service/tech support and I have to tell you, India and China have better support than EG4. Short story: Bought inverter, installed inverter. Inverter does not charge batteries as it should. Thinking I have the wrong settings, I first contacted support at Signature Solar. Their reps kept asking me the same question, not bothering to go over previous communications. When I would answer the redundant questions, I wouldn’t hear from them for days and then receive a request for review or an invitation to do a survey.

I got fed up and contacted EG4 directly. I filled out the form on their website asking to please have someone call me and help me with the settings (There was no phone number on the website). 13 days passed with no response. I filled out more forms, stating that at this point I would like to claim warranty and if someone could “pretty please” get back to me. That was on DEC 30, 2024. Weeks have passed with no response. I pretty much gave up on EG4. I kept getting emails asking for review though. On MARCH 5, two months later, they graced me with an email. One would think that if you were not raised in a barn, there would be at least an apology for taking 2 months to respond. Nope, not even a hint of it. I pointed out in my response that perhaps I will hear from them by June, now, to which I was told that if I would still like help, they can help or I can just call them.

I was so disgusted with EG4 arrogance that I decided to write a review. I cannot speak for the inverter itself, since they have not resolved anything yet, but their customer service is disgusting. I want to save someone the aggravation of dealing with them. If you happen to get a faulty machine, speaking to EG4 will be the the most lengthy and infuriating ordeal. Please search the solar forums before you buy this brand. If anyone wants more details, please contact me.

Been running one 18KPV unit connected to solar array for a month. Great system.
Also, customer service by EG4 was much better than service with solar installer. Colt did an excellent job over the phone of walking me through the device set up, remote monitoring app on mobile and desktop. So far, only good things to say about the system. Recommend.

He has continued to check in and let us know what we need to do on our end to make adjustments. I can’t thank him enough. Colt is one of the most helpful and considerate professionals I have met in a few years. I needed to update the firmware and LCD for my new EG4 system. I contacted Colt and he went the full distance to make sure I was satisfied with all the support that I recieved from him. He sent me numerous emails and even monitored the complete install and notified me that it was complete. Colt is a asset to your business and an astounding knowledgeable and considerate individual. It was a pleasure working with him.

Eg4 electronics has been our(socalgreenhomes llc) go to for inverters and backup batteries for our solar system customers, their customer care has been great too! I’ll always recommend Eg4 electronics all day!
