I recently had the pleasure of working with ECT Environmental Compliance to test our potential new home, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. I had a lot of questions leading up to the inspection, especially around the reliability of air testing for mold and whether an ERMI test was necessary. Mike Tooley, who I communicated with beforehand, was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to address each of my concerns with detailed and valid explanations, which really put me at ease.

On the day of the inspection, Mike was prompt, professional, and very personable. He explained the entire testing process thoroughly, making sure I understood how the data would be collected and analyzed to identify any mold or dander issues. His calm and reassuring approach made what could have been a stressful experience much more comfortable.

During the air collection, we chatted about his journey into the environmental field and his family, and it was clear that Mike genuinely cares about his clients and their well-being. He’s humble, down-to-earth, and has a level of integrity that’s hard to find. I contacted ECT when I suspected a mold issue at my office. Mike was quick to respond and showed up on time for the scheduled testing. He took the time to explain how it worked and then explained the results when they came back from the lab. He was very patient with all my questions and clearly knows what he’s doing. We thought we might be having an issue with mold in our den for the last several years. The companies we had spoken with before wanted to cut several holes in the wall and run a camera around inside the walls..This just sounded like too much work for us. We found ECT an Mike Tooley and were able to speak with him over the phone, find out that he does air sample tests through your house and in the area of course where you want to test and this picks up everything you need to know about different "spores" in your home. The tests in each room took no time and Mike (who is the owner of the company) came and did the tests himself..This is a small business which made me feel better cause I own a small business as well. He called us with the results the next afternoon. The room we think we have mold in has some elevated spore counts, (probably because we have ill fitting windows) and the rest of the house tested little to no spore counts. We were very pleased with the service, he arrived at exactly the time he said, and the test results came at exactly when he said. We would very highly recommend this company for any mold, asbestos, lead or any air quality issues you might be having. If for nothing else the peace of mind of knowing. I contacted ECT for a second opinion on the air quality in our home. Mike and the team were responsive and timely. Results were emailed to us and Mike called us and explained content of the report.

Key item that Mike said that made all the difference was when I asked if they do remediation. Mike’s reply: “we do not do remediation, only testing, otherwise there would be a conflict of interest” PROFESSIONAL and FORTHRIGHT.

I called Mike Tooley, as advised by an attorney to call a local mold testing company to test my son’s current living quarters, as there was absolutely no question of visibly present mold all over the place that was making his and tons of others, so severly ill . All we needed was professional proof on paper of the presence of mold , and we had a case!

However, when he dropped everything to meet me the following morning to test my son’s room, i immediately knew and it hit me, he’s test results will be completely inaccurate and invalid. After the first mold company that I called was quick to say “no” when I asked for their services bc of his fear of being sued, I should have known that this would be a complete waist on nearly $2,000.

Come to find out by meeting with one of the leading mold experts in the country, What took Mike 1-2 hours of testing, should have taken him at least 3 days. And the best part of his results what when he told me that the air he tested was cleaner than the newest house he had ever tested. Give me a break! Never trust this man or his company. Unbelievable. You will waist so much money and time.

I selected this company randomly, after researching several other companies, and this was one of the best decisions I've ever made. When speaking with a company for the first time, it has always been a rule, that the first point of contact is your first and last impression. It is true... Leslie's warm greeting, professionalism and knowledge was unexpected, but so surprisingly welcomed and I knew at that moment that my concerns were in good care. Mike at ECT was awesome. We called for residential mold testing and he was so responsive, kind, thorough and helpful. He had test results the next day and took the time to walk us through results and explain it all and help us understand what we needed.

I highly recommend Mike and his ECT team for any environmental testing, especially for residential mold.
