We've had a limited use permit for over 25 years to use the property behind our house for our solar panels and paid an annual fee for the use. EBMUD has increased the annual fee by 1400% PLUS is requiring us to get liability insurance on the dirt/ solar panels even though we have NEVER had any issues. We are just an environmentally friendly family trying to heat our pool with solar and they want to make the us pay to use their dirt... so much that it's not even worth it. This is a horrible company and they don't do whats best for the customer or environment but rather what's best for their pocket. So sad!

I've been going to Camanche Lake every April since the late 1970s. Since 2000, I raised a group of my son's friends from broken homes and kept them out of trouble by teaching them how to fish and float tube here. Camping at Riverview also allowed me to teach them about the outdoors and to have great respect for it.
Now catch and release fishing is All they do.
For the 2nd time in the last 5 years i will be denied our annual gathering here. Hence the 3 stars. I don't go anywhere else.
I'd like to know how in the world my float tube which has been sitting in my closet since I went to Camanche last year is going to spread the deadly golden mussel?
I know EBMUD will say they are protecting their ratepayers and equipment.
I think it's just a ridiculous excuse to save money because allowing recreation costs money and takes away from your profits. You flooded that land with the understanding you would need to allow public access. Well, this and Pardee are the only lakes in the state that allow float tubes but are still closed to float tubes and waiting for decisions to be made. I understand boating. Why is it taking so long to get this place reopened to float tubes? It's been 4 months! The word on the street is it will be closed to all boating permanently. This can't be true

EBMUD replaced the water main, slicing through our nearly-new lateral and making such a poor patch that WCWD said that our sewer lateral is leaking into the groundwater at the EBMUD patch. WCWD is making us tear up the street to correct EBMUD's poor work, at a cost of over $5000. And along with our lateral, there's a good chance that they made hundreds of other laterals leak.

Poor workmanship ... homeowner costs ... high cost of housing ... homelessness ... cycle of poverty ... it's all connected.

The costumer representatives are super un-helpful and ask obvious questions. I clearly asked them I wanted to know why my payment didn’t go through, and he asked me what my question was? The company needs to train them adequately. He didn’t even bother to try to pull up the account. Not helpful at all.

Thank you Marcos for not being any help at all.

Had to ask EB Mudd to turn off my water so my plumber could change a pipe. I didn’t think this would work very well, but I called Dispatch and the technician came right away. When it was time to turn the water back on, the same thing happened. Great service and helpful employees.

Trying to call and report an emergency and whoever is answering the phone just puts you on hold immediately without saying a single word, and leaves you on hold forever.

Operates as a private corporation, not a public utility. PUC should be held accountable. Rate increases and failure to prepare for climate change are beyond irresponsible.

After 40 years of having EBMUD accounts at two Oakland addresses I changed addresses recently within Oakland and discontinued service and started new service about 2 weeks ago. Today I came home with water cut off and a notice on door say “no arrangements were made for service “ There was no advanced notice and no way to contact EBMUD due to thier limited hours and extremely long wait time to speak to a live person.

This glitch on EBMUDs part resulting in no water to cook, drink or bath with caused great harm to my disabled son who was staying with me. Truly incompetent, poor accessibility and costumer unfriendly service on many counts.
