I contacted Dunn’s on a Tuesday; by Thursday, I am now sitting in my cozy home with my two new mini splits. They literally had the job completed in 6 hours or less. Dunn’s employees were super friendly and considerate of my concerns. I will never call another HVAC company, Dunn’s is truly my choice. Huck was very thorough and stayed late trying to get the job done. He came back the next day and he did not leave until he knew everything that was a problem was working and he made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. He answered all the questions he laugh with us, and made us feel very comfortable. Huk is not only an electrician and employee with Dunn’s but he’s also someone I like to call a Friend. I thank Dunn’s and Huck for his patients with my family during our emergency electricity issue.

I had a drain problem and called Dunns, they were very professional with scheduling, they scheduled the tech for the next day between 8 and 10, at 830 they sent a text with the techs name, picture, and bio. that tech immediately called and let me know he's on his way, Gavin was an extremely clean cut, nice, and knowledgeable plumber. He listened and explained what he was going to do, and then fixed my problem.. I'm very satisfied with Dunn's and will use them again 🙂

Earlier this year, I had a stopped up toilet. Made an appointment. The tech fixed the problem satisfactory in 5 minutes using a snake but was very expensive! The tech recommended updating my plumbing but the price was also very expensive. I'm a new home owner on a budget. They're work is satisfactory but out of MY price range.

A couple weeks ago, on a hot Thursday afternoon, our main A/C unit decided to stop working. We were able to set up a HVAC company to come out on Friday and look at it. The diagnosis was a bad inverter board in the outside condenser unit. That company told us that the manufacturer covers the units with a 10 year warranty if they were registered new, but ours was not. This unit was installed when the house was built in 2017. The options offered were to replace the board for $4k, or replace with one of four new units ranging from $14k - $19k.
My wife posted on Facebook asking friends for HVAC company recommendations that could offer comparison quotes with the addition of not recommending Dunn’s HVAC, Plumbing & Electric because they didn’t register the units they installed. The reasoning behind that was because we knew from a prior service experience with Dunn’s that they installed the unit and it was not covered under warranty (their technician told us this), plus we took that info and put with what we were told by the company who just left our house that the unit had not been registered when it was installed (this turned out to be incorrect- we got it wrong).
A short time after the post, the owner of Dunn’s (Donny Dunn) reached out to us via Messenger because a friend of his saw the post, copied and sent it to him. After he and I had some back and forth discussion, information sharing, and clarifications, he advised that the unit was registered properly, but because we were not the original buyers the warranty fell from a 10 year to a 5 year coverage period (With this information, my wife immediately edited her FB post to reflect that). This is a policy of the manufacturer (Bryant) and not Dunn’s (the installers). That may be true for all HVAC manufacturers, I don’t really know.
Mr. Dunn went on to advise me that even though we were outside the warranty period, his company would help us with the repair and would do so for much less than $4k. I was gracious with our appreciation and told him because they were willing to help that we would like to pay them to add surge protectors to both our HVAC units because a power surge is likely what caused the board to fail. It took them a couple days (weekend included) to get the part and make the repairs, but after 5-1/2 days in the Alabama August heat, we had air again.

When the technician was through with the repair work, he presented us with a bill that was a fraction of the cost of the surge protectors alone, but included the inverter board replacement as well.
We are very grateful, appreciative, and humbled by the indescribable customer service and generosity displayed by Mr. Dunn and Dunn’s HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical. I could be wrong, but I believe Mr. Dunn to be a Christian man, and a man who heard from God that day, and decided in his heart to help a family out that he did not know. He could have been offended at the post we made on Facebook and taken the conversation a different direction, but he didn’t. He chose humility and integrity and did what most people would say was the right thing to do, but in reality, he had no obligation to do so. From this interaction, I believe him to be a man of faith and character, which seems to be getting harder and harder to find.

I would just like to say how very satisfied I am with the services from Dunn’s, our techs that worked very hard (Jacob and Cody) were absolutely amazing and made sure that the problem got resolved! They also came back with Cody and Hunter and finished the problem with a stoppage we had! Excellent service on their parts along with another gentlemen Conner that came a little later and helped on the first day. Thank you again guys for taking care of our stoppage and going above and beyond!
