We have sat through many events at the Mahaffey Theater from the very front to the very back. There really isn't a bad seat in the place. If you sit in the pit (right up front) , you will need to look up or to the side if you aren't in the middle. They serve alcohol and have several bars. The bars to the side usually have smaller lines.

Beautiful, welcoming venue. The free parking, downtown took away all the worry of attending the Swan Lake Ballet.

However, we had really wished that we had the option of physical programs for the ballet. It was very hard to read from a QR code pdf download in the theater.

Also. We were sitting in Box 35 row 1. The seats had obstructed views and we could not see the performance on stage left.
Do not recommend these seats, especially when we paid a higher amount to be in a “box”.

This is a great venue with not a bad seat in the house! Luxurious inside, and easy to navigate around. Drinks not as expensive as other concerts I've been to. Great sound and lights were on point!

Took our family to the Nutcracker Magical Christmas Ballet. It was so wonderful. The dancers were fantastic and we were impressed with the backdrop and staging decor. The theater was very nice and not too big. We had orchestra seats and could see everything very clearly. It was nice that some of the dancers took a photo with our little one. Definitely an afternoon to remember.

Saw Shen Yun. Same weekend as boat show so parking was scarce for the 2pm show. Acoustics are good. Solid security. I could have chosen better seats. The venue is very interesting inside and has a great location! Restaurant in the airport is an easy walk and has great food and view.

We had balcony seats that were behind the front 3 rows, but below the section with the stairs. Plus-side, only 4 grouped together, and there was no squeezing to get to your seat. Downside, we were in the walkway for the balcony, so anyone coming or going went in front of us.
View was good. Venue is clean. They did close all except for one of the bars once the show started so I had to go insesrch of some water mid concert.
They need more signage for parking and from the parking to the actual venue. But, the parking was easy and we didn't have to pay extra for it and there were people there to direct to parking.

Attended a Tom Perty tribute band here and over the place was very appealing. Gives you a step back in time to when places were quite and we'll run. Concert was fantastic and we enjoyed every minute. Can't wait to attend out next live performance next to the best night life area in St. Pete.
