I hired DocAir to remediate existing mold and install a vapor barrier & dehumidifier system in the crawlspace of a property I recently purchased. My first impression of DocAir was very positive. Thomas, the technician that was dispatched to my property provided a very clear analysis of my issues and plan for remediation, I was receiving regular updates and communication from the office manager— so I contracted DocAir to move forward with their proposal at the next available opening they had 6 weeks later. Unfortunately, that was one of the last parts of my experience with DocAir that was positive.

In the weeks leading up to my installation I received zero communication about the specific start date & time, who my project manager was and how long the job would take to complete—finally prompting me to call their office to get this information after the start date originally quoted to me had passed. The mold guarantee I was sent had the wrong address listed, it took me following up with the office 4 times to finally have this corrected. Shawn and his team did a great job cleaning the mold and installing the vapor barrier but upon completion of this portion I was then made aware that the wiring and completion of the dehumidifier system was done by an entirely different department and someone else would have to come out at a later date to set this up. I received no information from the office as to when this would be scheduled. Several days passed, with still no word, when I finally reached out I was told “this will be completed tomorrow afternoon.” No one showed up and no one from the office reached out to me. When I called them they apologized and said they would come out the next day. No one showed up again and again I received no word from the office as to why.

As it stands now, I have paid DocAir in full for a job they have yet to complete. The work they do may actually be good but, I would not recommend this company based on their unprofessional lack of respect for their customer’s time and failure to properly communicate. Very disappointing end to an experience that started out with a lot of promise.

We reached out to DocAir to help us mitigate some water issues around our property. Our home in Cool Springs was built on a hillside and water had been penetrating the two outside corners of our home into the crawl space. DocAir worked on a multi-faceted approach to help mitigate the water and improve the integrity of our home. First, they assessed the grading of our back yard, recommending establishing a brim and add soil around the foundation of our house to push water away during heavy rain. Next, they extended our downspouts underground to bring all rainwater from our roof 6 feet away from the house on all sides. Lastly, they removed the poorly installed vapor barrier and encapsulated our crawlspace with beautiful strong, and thick white poly sheeting. Lastly, they installed an automatic dehumidifier and pump to keep the moisture in our crawlspace to a minimum. This has improved the quality and value of our home, but most importantly given us peace of mind. This entire process was carried out by a team of highly skilled, courteous, and honest professionals and for a very competitive overall cost. I would highly recommend DocAir for anyone in Tennessee with a house built outside that is subject to rain.

I spoke to Barry about the need to do crawlspace encapsulation. He & I inspected my crawlspace & discussed it. He actually told me I didn't need to do it. He did suggest some ways to make the crawl space more usable. His proposal to do that was quite reasonable. I had a bunch of follow-up questions, so one of the project managers Zac Glover came out and patiently explained every detail. I scheduled the work through Dianne (office manager). The work crew was extremely courteous and and very neat in doing the project.

I am extremely pleased with the work and wouldn't hesitate to hire DocAir again or to recommend them to friends.

Recently I asked DocAir to check on my dehumidifier. They verified that it no longer functioned at a high level. In addition to replacing it they did a thorough check of my crawlspace and did mold remediation where necessary. What I valued as much as the work was EXCELLENT communication between myself and all members of the DocAir team. It really helped make the whole project go smoothly.
