We have had many great experiences with this company. A few years ago, we had bad weather come through and a branch fell on the wire. Diverse Power had someone out to us in an hour in the dark and rain. He checked to see if we were okay then repaired the line. The AT&T line was also loose and AT&T told us they MIGHT be able to get someone out in two weeks.

The absolute worst power company ive ever had to deal with . They're super greedy and do not care unless they have their money. I've never seen a company who don't even send you an email or a letter in the mail to NOTIFY you they're cutting your power off, they just do it , they are so quick to shut it off and add ANOTHER late fee on top of it. No grace period. Other than the city of Lagrange who gives you a notice on your door & never just cuts your utilities off immediately and gives you grace .. In the freezing cold , they DO NOT care . My power was off as soon as I got off work , they don't have a emergency power team on call like EVERY power company I've dealt with does so thanks diverse I'll be going 3 days without power, with my toddler and newborn , absolute disgrace of a company

My power has been cut off due to a storm which lasted an hour , and I’m still sitting here waiting for power going on 13 hours now. There’s no one available to take a call and the fruit and vegetables I bought have pretty much spoiled . I plan on moving very soon and leaving this company behind will never recommend this outrageously overpriced company to anyone. Don’t understand how can charge me a payment of $690 and the following week have me sitting here on one of my only days off without power absolute disgrace.

Today we lost power at 4:45am and we still don’t have power 10 hours later but everyone who doesn’t have diverse power has been back on since this morning... Our power is consistently going out and I’ve lost all of our groceries 4 times now just within the last year. I don’t recommend diverse power to anyone. Not only that but it seems as if they don’t even have anyone working on this issue.

The WORST experience we have ever had with a power company. Maybe the people who actually live in Lagrange get reasonable service, but we somehow wound up in one of the few neighborhoods in Muscogee County (Diverse Power has just a few neighbor in North Columbus). I never knew that which power company you receive service from can make such a huge difference until our last 2.5 years putting up with this power company’s negligence/mismanagement. If you live in Columbus and are one of the few neighborhoods that has Diverse Power you can expect: high energy rates paired with frequent outages and SLOW response time. The company clearly does not have enough hired man power to get workers down here. They are overwhelmed with the area closer to their home office (Lagrange) and it takes a full day to even get men on the ground out here after a big storm. Our neighbors south of Double Churches will either a) not go out in the first place or b) get restored within a few hours. Meanwhile if you’re in a neighborhood North of Double Churches road, you can expect to be out for at least 12 hours. Based on the outage rate in our little corner of Muscogee County compared with the rest of the county (the rest of the county has Georgia Power), one would assume that surely the storms that roll through here just magically ramp up in intensity as soon as they cross Double Churches road.

Also, I’ll attach my “receipts” aka screenshots of our local outage maps from our most recent outage event for the Muscogee County as evidence to support my claims. This is for an outage that began at around 4:45 am. At 6 pm that same day, we drove past downed lines with no workers on site (because DP still hadn’t sent them yet). At around 7 pm, I checked the outage maps for both Georgia Power and Diverse Power and this is what I saw…
(Also, side note: we had been shopping, eating, etc on the other side of town so Georgia Power was restored much earlier than just by 7 pm.)
7 pm: Georgia Power- 6 customers down, Diverse Power- 1.6k customers down with 0 restorations since 4:45 am

To end with a single positive note: This is of no fault to the hard working line men who are finally sent out here to service our area after already spending a full day in Lagrange. It must be exhausting to have to cover such a large area for a company that doesn’t have enough work crews to spread over the area. We appreciate the linemen for giving us their time and working long hours. On Sunday, they were finally directed to us after already having worked a 12 hour day in Lagrange and once here they got the job done. Thank you!

Live in a community with underground utilities, however it’s attached to a part of the grid that ALWAYS goes out. The slightest wind or storm and you can expect to be without power for DAYS…I get they’re a co-op, but the service is horribly unreliable, and higher rates than GA Power, so avoid Diverse if you can. I’ve lived in multiple states and cities and this is by far the most unreliable and overpriced power company I’ve ever had. The communication is horrible also..I elected to receive text and email communications which I’ve never received, and the best estimate you can ever get is “maybe today, maybe tomorrow” and you’re lucky to get that.

Greetings, I've lived here the majority of my Life and have had several residences in Troup County in a span of 50 years. I have never had problems with; the Service, the employees or the Billing. Their Crews work deligently on keeping the Mantenance of Equipment and surroundings of the Power Lines in working order...I see them. My Bill has come down a little because I keep an eye on my Power Usage. I have too. At Night, I turn the Heat Pump down to 59 degrees and sleep well with Quilts.
Thank you to the Guys who are ready at anytime to restore Power. They are not slack in their work. I remember years back when Power Outages would last for a few days . I believe the Equipment has improved greatly. A Company can only be as good as their Tools. So...I want to say
Thank You to all Diverse Employees.

Absolute worst power company! Moved to Lagrange in 2017 and after getting my first bill and having charges for the GA Power money pit plant Vogel I called to inquire. I was told the charged would fluctuate every month and of course on itemized so it was taxed as well. I noted the kWH costs changed month to month and asked about that. Song and dance about their cost to purchase changed every month. We'd lived in N GA on a REAL EMC for 30 years. Every January we got notice of the rates that were locked in for the year. Summer was higher during peak, but if you ran the dishwasher, laundry etc after 8 pm - 8 am it was discounted. I asked if they offer similar program, nope. The lady insisted Diverse is an EMC so I asked what month do they issue rebates to their customers. Oh they don't do that (like every other EMC) in GA does. Typically it was a rebate for the amount of what 12 months averaged, so like getting a month free.
I cannot pay online because they only participate with a few local banks, nor could I set up auto debit. Welcome to the rip off stone age!
