Awesome! I needed to remove and reinstall my photovoltaic rooftop array to replace my roof. The original install was done by another company. Curt provided a fixed price competitive quote for the job and fixed a few issues that were wrong with the initial install at no extra cost to me. These issues could not be known until the removal was started and Curt still honored the agreed price. Every bit of the experience was highly professional and courteous. I can't say enough good things about Crest Solar and working with Curt Snyder. He installed a great off-grid solar system in 2012 in time for my daughter's wedding reception in the barn we had built the year before. It included 24 locomotive batteries, a propane backup generator for extended cloudy days and 20 solar panels mounted on the roof of the barn. It performed flawlessly. In 2014 he came back to install additional panels after we moved into the larger than planned 3000 sq ft cabin we built in 2014 next to the barn.

Off-grid power is not without it's challenges. When the brushes on the backup generator wore out, Curt helped me ensure the power remained on by installing an emergency by-pass that allowed me to use a portable generator. When extreme cold froze my propane lines and my cheap portable shook itself apart (literally), Curt lent me his portable to keep the house warm.

All the work has been high quality and the service great. I highly recommend Crest Solar.

Curt and his wife Natalie are an awesome team. I live off the grid and needed their help to upgrade my system. They have a lot of work and probably get plenty of "money making" jobs from businesses or large jobs, but they fit me in, communicated very well, and did a super job of installing an awesome product! Curt at Crest Solar was extremely professional and attentive during the installation of my solar array. He's extremely knowledgeable and up to date in the field of solar energy. Curt took the time to explain state and federal solar energy incentives, doing the work necessary to apply discounts to my estimate from the start. He also pointed me in the right direction to take advantage of related tax breaks.

In my particular case NYSEG made a mistake and failed to follow their usual procedure of upgrading my transformer to handle the solar array's increased load, resulting in various problems with my array. NYSEG initially denied any fault so over weeks and months Curt was extremely patient and accommodating in assisting me in my back and forth with NYSEG, helping systematically troubleshoot the problem and eventually prove that it was due to the transformer being overwhelmed by the new power load. I don't know many contractors that would be so helpful for so long after a project when they were no longer getting paid by the hour.

Last but not least Curt's also just a cool friendly guy, which can be a rare trait among contractors these days. I highly recommend Crest Solar to anyone who's considering a solar energy project.
