I am appalled by the fact that we received the threatening letter in the mail due to an insufficient funds for an automatic payment draft. My dad is 70 years old and forgot to transfer money from his savings to checking to cover the payment. The letter we received not only stated that power would be turned off but the matter would be forwarded to the district attorney for fraud.. I don't know who's in charge over there but this is not how you conduct business. You would have thought we tried to rob the place by the tone of that letter. I would tell y'all where to go but Google would probably flag this review if I did.. but I'm pretty sure you know where I'm coming from ? if you're broke just say that ‍♂️

I would give 0 stars if possible. They refused me power because the people that lived in the house before I moved in it left owing a huge bill. At first they let me turn my power on and I done smart pay, after a couple months they turned my power off not to mention didn't refund the money that was still left on it, but turned my power off because they discovered the address I had was the one of the previous tenants that left owing them a huge bill so I guess they thought they'd make me pay it. Well me and my husband had to suffer all summer long because of it plus the old tenants didn't pay their water bill either do I refused both power and water from lingoln, mind you it was so o hot this summer we could hardly breathe we lost our fur baby because of of it. And it could've just as easily been me or my husband. I'm glad to be moving away from Lincoln. Nothing but heartless money hungry people that think they can take advantage of innocent people for others not paying their bill.

We have their service and they have been amazing for the last 5 years. Today I witnessed two of their workers buy lunch for a homeless man at the Talladega Walmart while they got their own lunches. What amazing people who go above and beyond!!

Any little storm knocks the power off and it happens way too often. It's a Major inconvenience.

We live at the very end of the grid. Power went out about 11PM couple nights ago. Not sure why . After finally finding the number to call was able to report the outage. Power was back on in less than two hours. Would give 5 stars except reporting process requires phone number associated with account . With a preponderant lack of land lines these days this is difficult to find sometimes and there is no option for address reporting.
1/3/2024 An update to my review of years ago. I am giving this fairly small regional power company 5 stars . Their service has been exceptional. They are very responsive and east to deal with.
A tornado passed through ta few years back knocking out power here and killing three persons. Our power was back on in four hours.
In addition to this Coosa Valley has installed FIBRE OPTIC CABLE to its customers with speeds up to 1000mbps!
Our farm is at least a mile from the nearest neighbor and internet speeds top those available by far that I can get at my home on Smith Lake in Jasper. Lots of respect for this local home folks company!

Customer service is terrible, and I hate to speak for the whole department but there’s one woman that I spoke with twice and she was just rude . Talking over me etc. Moved here three months ago and this has not been a good experience. I’ve lived in bigger cities with much larger electricity companies and have never experienced such rude behavior. Do better or find a job in something other than CUSTOMER SERVICE .

Setting up a new service with Coosa Valley is atrocious. What power company expects the customer to pay for power, but the customer is solely responsible for finding a power pole and picking up the meter base and setting up everything themselves and literally all you all do is connect the power? What good is it to be the only company that services some of the central area but you offer no help or guidance to your customer to further get power to their homes? Elderly people cannot pick a 20ft pole and implant it in the ground if they need a new power hookup. But you expect a monthly bill to be paid on time every month? Power is a necessity, not an option so services to assist with new power setups would be a little more beneficial than telling your customer, basically figure it out yourself and keep it moving. This is the worst customer service and effort ever.
