Continental Divide built a gorgeous new facility but they messed up on the drive-up window. The extender is much too short to drop off the bill. Didn't someone measure how long the extender should be to make it usable? It's very frustrating when dropping off the bill. You have to drive as close as you can without damaging your vehicle or the building and then you have to open up your car door and then you have to struggle to stretch out as far as you can to put the bill and payment in the extender. Can't you fix it and make it longer?

This place keeps calling my cell phone leaving automated messages. Never an actual human and the message always cuts off. This is scam 101. I've never been affiliated with this company and judging from the other 'glowing' reviews, they're super scammy sounding. Calling random cell phone numbers is no way to collect bills. GIVE IT UP! I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with this company because clearly they don't care.

It's one of the hottest days of the year. They cut off power at 10:30 a.m., as it's heating up, but inform us it will only be for approximately 20 minutes. One hour and a half later, temperature in the 90's and there's no update whatsoever. They inform you when you call that they have no idea when we can expect power. I have animals in my home that will need to be rescued if this continues through the hottest hours of the day, and as a lung cancer patient, so will I. Your customers deserve some sort of answers so they can plan for their safety.

Edit: while I do appreciate your apology, and do understand the necessity of maintenance, I still feel your organization needs to make sure people have proper notice about outages and such so they may make plans accordingly. Scheduling maintenance during peak heat or cold hours obviously puts some citizens at risk.

Terrible electric service with regular outages. Customer service is a joke, no reward or recognition for being a long term loyal customer, and unapologetic customer service and connections staff. Just because they put a smiley face at the end of their emails doesn't make it cute! Taking full advantage of the monopoly they have on the local market, customers have no other choice of provider and they know it!

After 3 years here in NM, I'm still getting hit with huge January bills. I just learned from Gallup CDEC that it is MY RESPONSIBILITY to read my meter and report. So, what do we pay these people for? There have been 3 cost increases per kilowatt hour in three years. California doesn't charge this much! Here's the weird part.
In December 2023, I watched a meter reader pull into my yard and just sit for a while. He normally comes in as he knows my dogs. Must have been another guy or gal because I watch this person pull away and out of my yard without reading the meter! I even shouted and waved to get their attention but they just kept on going. So I'm assuming CDEC is guesstimating my bill for December and January. This took place before the storm in Jan 16-18 2024. I understand things are more shall we say..., casually done in NM, and the quality of employee is..., different. I've experienced that in every aspect of government, business in NM. Nothing will change till management changes for the better. That's NM in a nutshell. Still, a beautiful place to live and wonderful people which is why I retired here. All I can do is smile sometimes at the lack of inappropriate, inadequate training I experience. You managers are to blame.

The after hours dispatcher, an older lady who never identified herself was very rude on the phone after I called a second time regarding a power outage. She was very short and assumed that I knew all of your procedures regarding notifications and no call backs regarding an outage. She needs some coaching regarding speaking with customers.

This pace will charge you fees on bills you’ve already paid. I called and went to the office y dispute the charges and they won’t correct them. I got a letter saying I was being charge a fee on a bill which wasn’t even due yet! They take advantage knowing there are the only company in town.

I moved here from MN 6 months ago, paying the electric bill through the landlord. I found the reliability of the service excellent, only a few blips down, not for any extended time at all. The cost per month seems very reasonable for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, normal width mobile home with a single person there. I put in all LED bulbs, have electric dryer, well, computer office and the bill was usually under $50. Now I am moving to Grants and found the office personnel to be friendly, efficient and helpful in making that transition..
