We are very happy with our experience! We absolutely appreciated their thoroughness in ensuring we safely had the maximum number of panels possible, which added some time affecting our install, but it’s better to be safe than sorry!

Our contact, Luke Sulken, was amazing and did a fantastic job of explaining how the system works when he came out for our initial consultation. Not only that, but he consistently stayed in touch with us through the entire journey. His initiative and follow-through are off-the-charts! He was also very patient with all of our questions and if he didn’t know the answer he would get us in touch with someone who did. He is super nice and friendly, and we enjoyed our (sometimes meandering) conversations very much!

We also really appreciated the communication we had with the owner,Jon, so we could complete the wire payment after installation. It was impressive that he was interacting himself and not delegating to someone else on staff. It was a very nice touch!

We love supporting smaller businesses, especially family-run ones, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Coldstream or Luke to our families, friends, and neighbors. We proudly display their sign in our front yard!

After filling out an online solar questionnaire about installing solar panels on my house I was contacted by 5 companies. Three never followed up the lead, Coldstream Solar and one other company made proposals. The other company lied three times in their presentation and admitted it. Greg from Coldstream Solar put together a most impressive presentation and reviewed it with me on a Zoom call. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered my every question and educated me on reasons for rightsizing my system. The installation was flawless. Coldstream Solar coordinated everything with my county and electric company for approvals and set up of my net metering. The installers were professional and didn't leave a trace they were even here. The installation only took two and a half days. I highly recommend them, they know exactly what they are doing.

I had Coldstream install an 8 kw solar system on my house in Mid September. Their preinstall support was great - they handled permits and inspections and prepared the paperwork for my HOA review / approval. Since install - system is working exactly as designed. I am a "net exporter" of energy most days -- and as of today's stats -- I've cumulatively produced more than I have used (net export to Duke) over the last 8 weeks (including some hot weeks with a lot of AC demand). I priced several suppliers and I found Coldstream both cost competitive -- and the easiest to work with.

Our solar panel journey started with a door knocker. Having recently replaced our roof, we were already contemplating solar panels while the roof was still fairly new. We listened to the salesperson’s pitch, but the ambiguous pricing and vague promises made us skeptical. Wanting a more trustworthy approach, we decided to reach out to a couple of local companies for quotes and evaluations.

That’s when we found ColdStream Solar, and everything changed. Greg, the sales representative, reviewed every detail of the project in a very clear and concise manner, with a level of transparency that stood out. Unlike other companies, which would only tell me general categories of products without specifics, Greg was upfront about everything—including the exact model numbers of the solar panels and microinverters. This attention to detail and honesty gave me confidence in choosing ColdStream Solar, even though they weren’t the cheapest option. I felt most comfortable going with them, and I’m so glad I did.

When it came time for installation, Cliff and Logan were truly exceptional. Not only did they go far above and beyond to ensure the job was done in the best way possible, but they were also extremely respectful of our home throughout the entire process. Instead of taking the easy route and running the conduits externally, where they would be visible on the roof and exterior of the house, they took the time to run the wiring internally. I would have never known if they had simply told me external conduits were the only option, but instead, they chose to go the extra mile without hesitation.

What really stood out to me was their care and thoughtfulness. Without me even asking, they spent a great deal of time in the attic, carefully figuring out a way to run the wiring inside the house. Their commitment to keeping the exterior of my home clean and aesthetically pleasing, despite the extra effort and challenges, was impressive. It’s rare to find professionals who take such pride in their work and show such respect for their customers’ homes.

Evan was fantastic too! He maintained excellent communication throughout the project and worked closely with me to address all of my requests and questions. His willingness to accommodate my needs made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

I don’t usually write reviews like this, but I felt compelled to do so given the excellent service provided overall. ColdStream Solar demonstrated exceptional dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. I’m extremely thankful for their hard work and highly recommend them to anyone considering solar panel installation.
