I have been dealing with Gary and staff to have a new meter installed at my property. It has been such a pleasure working with the entire water department customer service. They have been very responsive to my calls and worked diligently to get us up and running! Thank you so much!

This is ridiculous. I emailed to report a possible leak at the end of my driveway about 6 weeks ago. Without any communication back I see a crew arrive a couple of days later to mark areas off.with yellow flags and spray paint. Then nothing for 6 weeks.
Yesterday I called in to follow up and see what was going to happen because the water continues to pool up at the end of our drive. I was transferred to Brian in the construction department who said that he sees the notes and that it wasn't a priority because it wasn't a water main break. To give them another 1 to 2 weeks to have somebody come out and look again or fix it.
Now on to today an entire team shows up and they are completely blocking my driveway and our water was shut off. No notice for any of this!
I understand that things need to be fixed but ZERO NOTICE that our driveway would be blocked and our water would be shut off
Not only were we mid cycle washing laundry and dishes but I have to call out of work because I can't leave my house, let alone take a shower.
This was so unprofessional! With proper notice we could've re-arranged plans. Now I'm out an entire day of work unplanned and the best I've been given was "it'll (the water) be off for 2-4 hours.". Zero consideration for the neighborhood here.

Would like to say that I have been at same rental property the last 5 years and CCWS have been the easiest utility company to deal with by far. I'm a single, older mom and often scraping by to keep everything on. Never once have I been shut off unless it was via residential work with new housing and then it wasn't an extended period. I wish I was better at names because there is an older gentleman and a woman that have exemplary customer service skills!! Thank you CCWS!!!

Their auto pay system is critically flawed.

Their customer service, to resolve the error, is impotent and not suffice.

Horrible customer service. Just found out we have been charged a ā€œlate feeā€ every month despite having auto pay set up. The person we spoke with on the phone was incredibly rude and stated that it was our fault for ā€œsetting it up through a third party payment system,ā€ and we ā€œclicked the buttonsā€ so it’s on us. Never once have we received a notice that our payment was late, we received the bills and paid monthly as expected. Absolutely ridiculous.

stay on top of your bill. they will not send reminders and just cut you off (autopay is good). fortunately depending on when you catch it, you could get it sorted in an hour over the phone. office staff is nice so not sure what people have a problem with.

their rates seem to be going up stealthily which is annoying. slow upwards bill creep

Very terrible company! They are rude and not helpful at all. I have had to change my number with them several times because they weren’t putting the right number in their system so there for I wasn’t getting notifications from them. Me and my husband manage multiple of our properties and have been out of town doing business. We normally are really good about paying on line and the text messages would be very beneficial if they would do their job by keeping the right number in their system. Especially since it’s we’ve had the same number for quite some time. But why I’m writing this lovely comment is because Amanda (customer service representative) was very rude when me and my husband called to fix the issue. We called and asked her why our water got cut off at one of our houses and she said because it was late. We then proceeded to tell her that we didn’t get any notification about the water and asked for the number on file. She read off the number and it was the wrong number again so we had her put the right number in the system and asked her if she could waive the late fees so we can pay the correct bill since it was their fault, they didn’t have the right phone number after we gave them the correct phone number numerous times and she said no. Then proceeded to talk about a pink slip that was left on the door, but we have cameras around our house and there was no one on our property and nothing on our front door. We told her that and she still wouldn’t help us. So not only did they not notify us by phone but they didn’t even come up to my door to give me a final notice so we could fix the problem right then and there. I am so glad that this is the only property we have in Cherokee County because we will be selling this property and will not be investing back into this county. Worst county I’ve been in honestly. And this company just tops the cake. Unfortunately we have to wait till we sell this property before dropping them but I’m sure it won’t be longšŸ™šŸ» honestly surprised that they don’t have a better attitude based of their reviews. Being a successful company owner myself I know how important it is to hold up a reputation and this company isn’t doing so great.

Out of all utilities to transfer during a move why is the cheapest one the hardest?! They don't credit a deposit to your account after so long and when you move, they won't simply transfer the deposit from old account to new account. Had to pay another deposit and now have to wait to receive the other deposit back. How does this make any sense?! Beyond that it took all day, multiple emails, and several calls with their horrendous customer service agents to even accomplish anything at all. Someone please create another water option in Cherokee County so these people can be put in their place!
