The power Grid here is that of a third world country! Somewhere the power is always is out. And when it's on, my bill is getting increasingly expensive! Last month my bill was 370$ and I thought, "dang! Well we were running the heaters alot. Oh well, just pay it." Learning our lesson on electric heaters the hard way, we cut our usage in half, lowered the heater settings and doubled up on blankets and now they're saying our bill is 400$! How! Make that make sense! A two bedroom two bath house does not use $400+ worth of electricity! No freaking way. I tried calling them and i basically get a "tough luck. Pay it don't have power" talk about highway robbery or a monopoly on power.

Addendum:
It's been 2 years and NOTHING has changed. It's now 3AM, in January, 20°, and we've been without power, AGAIN, for nearly an hour, for no apparent reason. Yet again, my concern is for the pipes bursting, my animals and my family preparing for yet another day in the pitch dark and freezing cold. It's 2025... is this company EVER going to get it together Doubtful.

This company is HORRIBLE!!! If there was ANY other power company out here we would have switched years ago. I'm currently writing this review, after several outages over the course of the Christmas holiday weekend, in 22° weather at 6 am with no way to heat my home and (more importantly) no way to keep my pipes from freezing and bursting!! All the preparations in the world are not worth anything with no power to run the heat tape or well pressure tanks! Not to mention, it's freezing in here!! Thanks EMCEC. Merry freaking Christmas!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is absolutely AWFUL. Our power has been off for almost 4 WEEKS, we have 6 animals and ALL of our food went bad, it sucks. They say we're good and they will make it out to turn it back on, but then they said we still owed some money, we paid and they said they'd be out. Another week goes by and they say they need a signed lease agreement so we send that in. It's been over another week so we had to contact the state just to get them to turn our power back on. They were real quick to turn it off, but not in much of a hurry to get it back on. It was supposed to be today but yet they are delaying it once again until tomorrow. We would've switched a long time ago if we had another option.

Just ordered electricity from these folks. Read a lot of bad reviews, but my experience has been the opposite.
I've only spoken to Tabitha Garcia. She's been very helpful, obviously knew her job, and her communication response time is extraordinarily fast.
So, absolutely nothing but good experience with CNMEC to date.

Zero Customer Service, threatened to illegally shut off my disabled father's electricity for being 2 weeks late while he waited for his disability to come in. I had to pay it so the wouldn't kill my father by shutting off his electricity

The facility is nice although the waiting area is way too dark. The employees are very professional and do the best they can to assist you with any issues you have. But I have had many years of experience with this company mishandling their accounts, cheating their stockholders out of their shares and doing illegal activity. If you live in the East Mountains, you have to use them for electricity , there are no other options. My only advice is to always double check your bills and do not sign any paperwork without a lawyer reading it first.

The most worthless electric utility provider I have ever had. I have lived all over the country and had both large and small electric utility providers. CNMEC has very unreliable service that is constantly going out, flickering and always at the most inconvenient times. It will destroy appliances and sensitive electronics. Better get a generator if you get power from CNMEC.

Literally the worst company in the east mountains. They charge you triple what you'd be charged by pnm, on top of the random outages because everything is so out of date. Then don't call you and tell you they're going to shut your stuff off they just do it and when you call to see what happened they want you to pay a reconnect fee, a new deposit and whatever else they want. It's ridiculous. No one has called to give us a warning and in this summer heat being 8 months pregnant it's awful they can do this. You're allowed only 3 extensions of payment a year. We haven't used any and this is the first time we've fallen behind this year and they are still charging us all the fees. If you can avoid having to use them for power I truly suggest it. It's awful!
