I have been prepaid with Carroll EMC for years. Sometimes I forget to add money, which cuts my electricity off, and ever since covid they implemented a new rule to charge $10 more just to turn the power back on, and it takes forever for them to turn it back on, despite paying extra. So tired of dealing with them. So greedy.

They don't give two f's about their customers. My bill doubled in one month. We have never paid almost $400 for power. They didnt do anything about it. Said there is nothing they can do. Who has ever had a power bill that high on a home with only 2 people. Insane.

Hour 8 now and still no power in Villa Rica complex. According to them Crews have been supposedly working on it for 8 hours now!!!! This is ridiculous. We have now lost our groceries and air conditioning. Thanks for caring about your customers Carroll EMC.

In Carrol County/ West GA and operates like everything out that way under redneck principles. They think they “ought to teach lessons” but they just get off on the power because the redness of their necks.

Hour 5. No power. Told they can't find where the tree is down at. No other information. Front of neighborhood perfectly fine. Sitting in darkness wondering if these 40+ houses just aren't important enough for them to figure it out. EDIT: 30 minutes after post power was up. Only ruined the water heater. 2 stars for now. Hopefully the company will improve, doubtful with lack of competition though.

My bill either comes with 1-2 days till due or it comes like this months bill, 3 days late. I’m sure if I didn’t look online how much and pay they would cut my power off for non payment. I miss the carroll emc of years ago, they were charitable and had an efficiently run business. They removed the usage graph of past months and it makes me not trust them. They need to get it together!
