We were told it would take 72 hours to get our power on after our new home purchase. We were given information on how to expedite the process. Our contact person was Juan Pablo from
a Central America call center. His English was perfect and he was very helpful. Following his directions, we provided all the extra documentation required and got our power on within 24 hours!

Since moving to a state where you have to shop for your electricity every time your contract is up (crazy confusing at first), especially when where you moved from (your entire life), you never had to do any of that….it’s daunting. I literally dread it each time it’s come up.
But, while doing my research this past time, I came across this Company BKV Energy and I have to say, I’m very happy so far. They’re not complicated. They’re not “fast-talkers” who are trying to take advantage of you (because some of the people you speak to at a lot of these other Companies KNOW that the “average Joe” doesn’t have a clue about all the things you need to know to make an informed decision).
BKV Energy wasn’t like that. They were pretty legit. They explained a lot…they break it down for you and they offer options that made sense and they weren’t pushy.
While researching and speaking with a lot of different companies…I always had that immediate feeling like I was definitely being ripped off. I did not get that at ALL while talking with BKV Energy.
I haven’t had any problems with this Company since I’ve gone with them. My bills have actually been very good and I’m not aggravated every month when I open my bill (like in the past).
I highly recommend giving them a try.

Just switched to BKV. Happy so far. It was a seamless switch and I really like their platform. Easy website and they even have a rewards program. Hoping we found a good energy company! Prices were great and we locked into a long term plan.

We have BKV Energy through Energy Ogre (we love Energy Ogre). But we have had an issue with BKV Energy - they just cut our power in the middle of a work day. It took myself and my Energy Ogre rep about an hour working with BKV rep to the issue worked out.

For some reason, BKV had all the right information - credit card number, auto-pay was turned on, and the address was correct. But for some reason this month (March) they did not run my card and then shut my power off. No body reached out to me or Energy Ogre from BKV - just shut the power off.

Granted we were minimally impacted, just a big inconvenience for a work day. And BKV had our power back on (after they admitted that something went wrong on their end) in about 2 hours. But it makes me worried those who can't afford to lose power unannounced like the elderly or those with medical needs. I could understand if BKV had tried to reach me and I was just not responsive, but they didn't even try to reach out. They just didn't process my credit card and turned off my power.

Just switched over to BKV and I'm happy with my decision. The prices are better and the company seems a lot better than the other companies out there. Really happy with the move.

Every month that I lived here I paid between $40 to $80 of electricity but the past 2 months I been charged $180 and $318 respectively only my wife and I live here. I have 2 jobs and she’s hardly ever at home we don’t have washer nor dryer at home. Everyone around us pays $80 these are small apartments. I only leave 3 things plugged in when we are not at home. That’s over 50% of the time. I had to paid $50 for them to reread the meter and tell me it was read right the first time. This happened during December which wasn’t hot nor really cold. Also I was lied on how much I would be paying for kilowatt. Worst electric company I ever had. I can’t wait for my contract to end to leave them. I’ll be contacting the bbb soon

Just been with BKV Energy for one month. Switch from last provider was seamless. BKV Energy website was intuitive, easy navigation. AutoPay occurred on "Due Date". I would like to see an option for me to be able to set the auto pay to happen sooner after the invoice date, soon after I review the bill. I was with my last provider for 25 years. I hope BKV can provide me the best rates for the next 25 years.
