I am not satisfied with the job and installation done by Better Earth. I had the solar panels installed last year in March and there has been constant problems ever since. From the solar panels not being wired correctly after installation, which resulted in 4 months of lost production, to the improperly flashed mounting hardware that has caused leakage into my home. I am currently dealing with a leakage in my kitchen that happened during the recent heavy rain we had this past week, and after contacting Better Earth and them sending someone out to do an inspection, nothing has been done. I am left with the stress and consequence of my decision to go with Better Earth. I hope others that do decide to go with this company, don’t go through the same problems we have had and are going through. Honestly, the quality of work that was done by the installers was absolutely abysmal.

Please do not hire this company. They left broken tiles under the solar panels after saying they fixed them. It seems they outsource all their workers, and all of them do not care about doing a good job.

Our roof now has several leaks, and we are stuck having to deal with the stress of paying for the thousands it’ll cost to repair the damages.

Having completely remodeled my house over the past 2 years and going through hundreds of quotes from various contractors, I've gotta say this company had the single shadiest sales process that I've ever seen.

Bobby knocked on my door one day, and later came back with his supervisor Harpreet to try to sell me some solar panels. Harpreet did most of the talking. Some interesting points regarding this interaction:

- They did not arrive at the agreed upon time (in fact, they came on the wrong day)
- Created a false sense of urgency that I needed to act quickly, citing some recent legislation
- Tried to get me to bundle a new roof replacement and write it off as a tax deduction for solar. This sounded too good to be true. I looked it up and every source on the internet (including the text of the law itself) confirms that this is absolutely illegal to write off a new roof. I told them my findings and they insisted that I do it anyway.
- Harpreet could not stop telling me about how trustworthy and transparent he is, although he could not produce his company's license number or industry certifications. He mentioned some company guarantees that don't seem enforceable. Barely any discussion about the installation process itself or the actual product being installed (only after I specifically asked about it). But he made sure to tell me several times that this is a no-brainer limited time deal!
- Bobby mentioned how he writes off all sorts of tax deductions for people all the time, because he is also apparently an accountant, in addition to being a solar salesman. Clearly great at both.
- They showed me a couple of financing options, ran my information through a credit pre-approval service (That I did not request them to do!), and then asked me to sign something on the spot to proceed with a roof survey, without reviewing any of their paperwork.
- I told them I am absolutely not signing anything that day. Please send me your paperwork and product/financing information for me to review, and I will reply if interested. Gave them my email and they agreed to send.
- Several days later, I still had not received anything in my email from them.

Total scam.
Dirty salesmen just trying to get your money.
They don't have mostly 1-star reviews for nothing.

Hunter and the Better Earth team did a fantastic job of a partial re-roof and solar installation in record time. I had to delay the project by a year because of the economic uncertainty of layoffs last year, but Hunter picked things right up, answered all of my questions and managed the project from end to end with great communication. Props to the roofing company and solar installation team who were extremely careful with our vaulted ceilings. We are currently waiting for city inspections - will post an update after the system gets turned on.

Please be aware that these reviews are highly inflated. They will bribe the customer with a $100 gift card to lie about their experience.

Then with how they treat and compensate their employees.

Please be advised that I would personally get services elsewhere. The employees are great people and work very hard.

You will pay +$10,000 more vs titan solar, tesla etc

Please ask as many questions when getting anything installed on your roof.

I had a very disappointing experience with Better Earth Solar Energy. They installed solar panels on my roof without any regard for the fact that my roof was too old and not suitable for such an installation. As a result, I experienced leaks in my roof that were never an issue before the installation. The company never advised me to assess or replace my roof before installing the solar panels. This oversight shows a lack of professionalism and concern for their customers' well-being. When I reached out to them to address the damage, they refused to take responsibility, and instead they are charging me more than an independent contractor to remove them so I can have my roof change. I feel as if they took advantage of my situation and did not provide the necessary guidance to ensure the installation was safe and appropriate. I strongly advise others to stay away from Better Earth Solar Energy their sales team are only nice until they get your business... after the contract is signed they don't even return calls. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Do not do business with Better Earth.

The salesman stated repeatedly that we would never pay for electricity again apart from our monthly loan payment. He told us we would have lots of excess power. We based our payback calculation on these numbers.

The system they installed is drastically undersized for our home. It does not meet the contractually guaranteed minimum system size of 4.29 kW instead topping out at 3.3 kW. We are still paying substantial electrical bills every month including during the month of July, which is one of the best months for solar. Even if we were getting the full 4.29 kW that was guaranteed, we would still be undersized and paying for electricity.

I have contacted Better Earth multiple times and they just keep saying that the system is working as planned, even though their own reporting system shows that it is not. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am getting the same results.

This is a bait and switch operation and they don't even deliver what they switched to.

This business is not reliable and not trustworthy. I contacted them over the weekend after I discovered that the panels they installed were not properly connected to the mounting system--tie downs are missing. Panels are flapping in the wind. 48 hours later, I had not heard back. Calling them I was given a total runaround--no mechanism to contact the install team at all, except by a ticket being filed that goes nowhere.

I am not the type to post a bad review for a business trying their best, but this is not a business trying their best.

Beyond their non responsiveness to a set of panels flapping loose in the wind, they have taken over four months since install to get my system activated--this delay has so far been mostly due to a failure to submit the correct information to the city.

Overall I had high hopes for this team, they were responsive on the sales side, but a nightmare to schedule and even worse now that I need actual support.
