Barrier Energy did my HERS testing for my HVAC replacement and I was extremely happy with their service. My technician Logan was super knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me since I had no idea what HERS testing even was. He was super professional and clearly knew his trade well. I had Barrier Energy perform the Q11 Insulation and the Duct Leak Testing for my new home. They were very quick and responsive to coming out and testing. There was an issue with the insulation and they came out the next day to reinspect so there was no delays, as the drywall contractors were coming the following day! In addition they were quick to complete the required documentation for the permit. I would recommend them.

Get a quote before having them do HERS testing. I recently got my AC redone at my house in San Roque. The AC installer got the permit but just told me to call Barrier Energy for the testing. I had had HERS testing at a previous house, so I wasn't too worried and didn't ask the price. Two guys were at my house for less than an hour, and they were very nice, professional, and clean. Our ducts passed. But then I got the invoice, for over $450. When I complained, the owner basically said this was their standard fee for HERS testing; they offered to take 10% off my bill. So overall, they gave me good service but at what I think was an exorbitant price.
