Bill pay is always down, and maintenance keeps getting pushed further out. Was supposed to be back up and running today, now moved to Friday, and bills are due on the 27th. Very nerve-wracking for people who travel and can only pay online or by phone if it's an option.

*Update 5/21: Went in to pay bill, was told that their debit card machine isn't working. Can someone please file a class action lawsuit or something?!

Absolutely atrocious. The customer service is sub par. Their website is always down and now citizens have to prepare for large bills after their deficient billing system . Banning is the pit of hades and that's being nice. Its 2025 but this town looks like a dump and the city is corrupt .

I haven’t recieved my utility bill for dec whats the hold up . It is so ridiculous they are charging a 3% fee when you use your card to pay your bill. Then you call to see what’s happening NO one answers the phone and just a recording. I have been calling Every day on my bill and have been waiting for more then an hour at times . Just worried that I will be hit with a double bill in Jan. I was able last month to talk to someone as a walk in . They said they have changed there systems. Well how long does it take to learn the systems . What’s going to happen to seniors that are not suave in technology.

Corruption at its finest ...they are charging a 3% fee for using your card to pay now ! This is ridiculous and it's bad enough we are experiencing the highest inflation in 4 decades ....furthermore their online website is not compatible with smart phones 😒...so your only choice is to pay by cash or check ....I personally will be going to the city council meetings to address this issue and I'll be asking for a records request to make sure that 3% upcharge isn't lining the pockets of the garbage people who run this city....WE THE PEOPLE DESERVE BETTER!

The only thing worse than the city of banning is the people that work for it. They’ll tell you to bring in one thing and then it’s not good enough. So I have to sit in my hot house with no electricity because everyone’s just a helpless cog in the system.

Sad to say but Customer Service in the Utility department leaves a sour taste after talking with them . Only if you can get through. I have been told for last 12 min I have a 6 min 10 sec. But my que position is first go figure. Try to pay online and the site seems to never be up for payments.
City of Banning instead of addressing where to put drive ways of eateries or pot shops perhaps you can pay for more help in the utility department and a real IT department. Not everyone has the luxury of working close to home. Bills paid online gets the job done and your not late.

The city built brand new offices a few years ago apparently just so 10 to 15 government employees can stand around and watch while only one is qualified to help the six people that are waiting to have their utilities turned on. After waiting well over an hour during the day in the middle of the week, I finally got my paperwork done and was told my electricity would be turned on before the end of business on Friday. That worked out perfect because I was planning on starting to clean the place Friday about 6, and returning Saturday morning with the Uhaul. The best surprise came when I showed up with the fridge and food to feed the movers Friday night, and of course the power was NOT on, and there is no after hours number readily available. So, I have spoiled food, and no power in my new house until Monday (I hope it is on Monday)
