Let's start with the good. The maintenance men Alex & Maurcio. They are very nice and so helpful. They were on it anytime I needed something fixed.

As far as everything else no. Management was terrible. Mark was always in his office and seemed like he never wanted to deal with things going on at the complex and would close his door. The new girl they hired to take over whispers position is rude and would have her airpods in when you're talking to her. Now as far as the complex goes, alot of residents treated this place like a hotel. Random people at the pool who don't even live here were using the cabanas 3 times I was out there. Also people being intimate in the pool and hot tub which is publicly used is disgusting. The clubhouse is so nice but events were happening so often here you couldn't even enjoy them. The parkinglot has had multiple sketchy people in it taking people's assigned parking then randomly driving off once noticed. Peoples cars were also getting broken into. Homeless people coming in and laying by the main doors or roaming the hallways. I can say I definitely did not feel safe living here. Homeless walking past my windows on the first floor and screaming. We also had a bug problem on the patio and then a rat problem that never went away so our patio was never used due to that and alot of rat droppings. The on call security was by far the worse. They never would come or even answer my calls. I had to call the police for incidences happening above us. Rent is crazy expensive which was one of the main reasons we moved.

Lived there about 2 years and the management was very terrible. They used to know me as Jefferson, and then the management got changed to Aray. The units are extremely expensive compared to surrounding areas, and if you have any issues with your unit, good luck. First of all, it will take them weeks to reach out to you. And if there was a major issue, guess what? You will have to pay out of your own pocket. If you don’t, they will send you a fat bill once you move out.

Moved in about a month ago! Was nervous when I applied because I saw a lot of the other reviews BUT don’t let that shy you away! I applied and followed up and every time I did everyone was very friendly ! First person I met was Trina she greeted me with a smile and was full of energy ! LEE was amazing and communicated very well with me and I appreciated all of their help! The move in process once I got a approved was fast fast! I enjoy the property and all of the amenities! Love the area since I grew up in this area as well ! Definitely can not complain! Would recommend this property to anyone ! !!!

Jefferson has a lot of harsh sounding reviews right now, so I feel the need to share my experience in case it helps people to not be "scared off". From my initial reaching out to Jefferson to ask about available units, to moving in on the very first opening day of 3/17, I have had an amazing experience with the complex AND the leasing office. Celiene and Lee have been professional, helpful, responsive, and an absolute pleasure to interact with. It is a brand new complex, and despite that they have made every effort to answer questions, provide information, and make our move-in process as easy as possible. I have zero complaints whatsoever when it comes to the leasing office.

As for the complex itself, the units are expensive for a reason. Honestly with the current housing market, there are other complexes with comparable pricing that don't come close to Jefferson in terms of what you get. Brand new units with everything being completely modern, prime location a walk away from downtown La Mesa and the 8, amazing complex amenities, and overall it has the feel of a "fancy" complex while still feeling homey and not overly "cold" (this may only make sense to some haha). Couldn't recommend Jefferson more to anyone who can afford it and is on the fence.

Felt the need to drop a review after learning about this place. The staff, worked closest with Mark, are really great and friendly. They seem to really care about getting people into the right spot, and not in a pushy way like some places do, as well as care for the property. A bit of a clean freak so appreciate how well the facilities/amenities have been maintained as well as nice and clean. The amenities are some of the best I’ve seen, I love a hot tub and the cabanas are a bonus too.

This property is absolutely beautiful. My best friend lives at this property, and after viewing her unit and all the amenities offered to the residents is very appealing. The club house is perfect to rent out for small gatherings, have acres to a gym on the property, along with a pool.I love how spacious the bedroom and bathrooms are. Having a washer and dryer is the icing on the cake. The kitchen is very modern and sleek. I definitely am looking at this for a possible move.
