My husband had installed solar on our barn. Shortly after he finished the install, he got sick & past away. Due to the circumstances, I was away for a few months & when I came back, I was informed by the power company that my units were not producing power.

I was on my own to find someone to fix the problem. I called several solar companies & none of the solar companies wanted to even look at our units. The problem? They didn’t install the solar system, therefore, they didn’t want to even take a look.

Appalachian Solar was my last call for help. The owner Seth was so sweet & so considerate, he was the only one that would consider coming out to see if he could fix it. He came out that same day, after he finished his work day. He ran some test, he spent about three hours between running test & talking to trouble shooters for the inverters & diagnosing the issue. After Seth called the inverter company for me, he came up with some ideas on what the issue could be. After running several more test he found that the inverters needed to be replaced due to them malfunctioning. He contacted the company & he sent a letter as they requested with what he found. The letter he wrote was professional & to the point. The inverters had malfunctioned. The cost of the inverters was not cheap. After doing some more research he discovered the inverters were still under warranty.

The company sent out two new units & Seth came over and installed the new inverters. Problem solved! I’m so grateful to him. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for solar to be installed or to fix any problem that might arise. Finally, he gave me a bill & I was pleasantly surprised at the amount due.

To finish this review, Seth was professional, determined, sweet, compassionate & actually cared about his work ethic.

I am very pleased with the service provided by Appalachian Solar and Minisplit. Their response time is very quick. They are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the products they install. They replaced an old minisplit unit for us. They had the new unit up and running in no time. They were even conscious about the physical placement of the unit so that the least amount of touch up to paint and trim would be necessary. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Seth again or recommend him to anyone.

Let me tell ya if you need a great cost effective heating a cooling system, Seth at Appalachian Solar and mini split is your guy. Excellent knowledge and expertise had my mini split installed in less than 5 hours. He got right back to me promptly. If U need heating and/or cooling solution for your cabin in the mountains this is way to go.

Seth and company do great work, and very affordable! We had a multiple head mini-split put in, and he gave us a very reasonable quote. He communicated very well. And he showed up when he said he would--which nowadays is becoming increasingly more difficult to find. I highly recommend!

Several years ago Seth installed a solar water heater, and he continues to maintain it as needed. He recently installed a large solar panel on grid system that reduces my power bill. He does good work, he is reliable, and the price is right.

Seth and Larry absolutely kill it! Neither of them know the first thing about underwater basket weaving but they can sure as hell install a/c in your home... Trustworthy, friendly, and knowledgeable you can hardly hold their lack of basket weaving skills against them. 17/17 dentists recommend

Appalachian Solar does great work. It just makes sense to get the tax credit and make your home energy-efficient and independent. Great team.
