Absolutely fantastic work! Chase (the owner) and his team were always on time, finished the work on schedule, kept me updated throughout the entire process, and did clean, high-quality work. I did a ton of research prior to picking a solar company and am so glad we decided to go with All Tech. Call them now--or, if you're like me, keep reading so you can hear how our system worked PERFECTLY in an SDGE power/grid shutoff.

We are in Ramona and about 2 months after All Tech finished the work, SDGE shut off the power in Ramona for 3 days. Talk about awesome timing. We were NEVER without power!! We didn't even know SDGE shut off the power! The neighbors wondered why our houselights were still on when everyone else's on the street shut off. Had I not received their texts, I wouldn't have known the grid was down. Someone even wanted to come over and finish their laundry, haha!

As expected/promised, the batteries charged 100% during the day (even when we didn't see the sun all day - cloudy) and kept us running overnight without any issues, while the sun (solar panels) powered us during the day. Many of our neighbors were running generators but had to leave their doors/windows open when it was super cold out just to power their fridge/freezers, etc... The install was impeccably timed, but the best part is the system worked as promised. Chase even texted me the day they shut off power to see if everything was working ok!! Talk about stellar customer support!! If you need solar, batteries, or anything else All Tech can do, they truly value their customers and do amazing work. Look no further, call them and get it booked today!! Phenomenal work, products, and customer support - these guys are the best!

Awesome experience with Alltech from start to finish. I initially started the search for the right solar installer in August, and eventually landed upon "Julian Solar Consulting" on YouTube around September. Julian is a great resource for solar & battery storage information online, and I quickly realized he was based in San Diego county. After reaching out, Julian designed a system based on my home and my needs, and brought in Alltech to get the job done. The whole process went by more quickly than expected, and just as smoothly as I'd hoped. The Alltech team on installation day was not just professional, but friendly and very communicative to boot. Install took 2 days in total, with the final touches coming about a week later on inspection day. Alltech's owner, Chase, personally came up to ensure that everything about the job was done to par on install day and again at the end of the job. Chase & Julian both promptly answered any questions throughout the process, handled all the permitting & paperwork, and truly delivered a turnkey solar transformation in the most professional way possible. I would consider myself a "particular" client that won't settle for less when it comes to quality, and not once did I need to call into question what Alltech was proposing or doing on this project.

TLDR, Alltech is a class act you won't often run into in the solar industry, let alone any industry. They deliver on what they promise, and though they aren't the cheapest option out there, you most certainly get the quality of work that you pay for. I will be recommending Alltech to anyone who asks!

ALLTECH SOLAR IS A Rip off, and Unscrupulous, Insulting and Demeaning to Customers: Almost a year ago I hired AllTech Solar to put 20 solar panels on the roof of my 2500 square foot property in La Mesa.
Unfortunately, from the very first day that the solar panels were turned on I felt that at least several were significantly under producing especially as compared to the other panels. I contacted the owner of AllTech, Chase Carmody, and expressed my concern but he assured me that all panels were working properly and as expected.

Now it’s almost a year later and these exact same panels are still under producing. How do I know this? Because several weeks ago, I sent letters to AllTech and Enphase Energy, the company who makes and can monitor the IQ8 Micro-inverters installed in my solar system asking both to look at my system to see if it was operating properly.
FYI: I have copies of all the Emails and text messages I will refer to in this review of AllTech.
Chase Emailed me that my system was operating perfectly. However, I also received an Email from Enphase Energy stating that my microinverters from Array #1 are and have been under producing. See below,

Hi Malcolm,

Thank you for contacting Enphase Energy

I re-evaluated your system "Jarvis, Malcolm" with system ID "2488496"  thoroughly and agree with your statement that the microinverters of array 1  have been underproducing.
In order to understand the issue better, I took up two inverters from the array and compared their production with that of the ones that were underproducing.
On comparing I noticed that the microinverters were underproducing back then during this time as well.
Thanks & Regards,
Filza

Following up on this I sent Chase an Email with a copy of the above Email sent to me by Enphase Energy stating that my microinverters from Array #1 are under producing and asked him if he would look into this matter further. This was his reply.

Malcolm,
Your system is currently working perfectly in normal operation. The location of the panels were signed and approved by you before installation. There is nothing further to discuss on this matter.

It’s your house, I suggest you take a look to see if there are any trees that can be trimmed back to prevent any shading. Alternatively if you would like to hire us to move panels that is a different discussion.

Have a nice day.

I Emailed him this response to the above letter.

Chase,
Thank you for your quick response and your offer to move some of the panels. Still, I would appreciate if you would go to my house, I am happy to pay you for your time, and assess the reason for the under performance of the several panels as noted by Enphase. As I am not an expert here, I would greatly appreciate your expert advice on what is likely causing the underperformance and what the best solution is.

Thank you,
Malcolm

chase carmody to me;

“I believe that your panels are performing at 100% in the environment and roof placement that they are currently in. Respectfully, I am not currently interested in performing an unnecessary site inspection. If you would like something of the sort done I suggest you reach out to another provider.”

As I hope everyone can see, once AllTech has your money, they are done with you and will not provide any support whatsoever. Use this company at your own risk.

I haven’t even addressed the fact that during this time, Chase called me an idiot and said, and I quote, “there is no such thing as a “solar emergency” so next time if you desperately need someone to talk to 911 is a good place to start.”
Not only is this insulting but also demeaning especially when you consider the fact that I never said or wrote the words “solar emergency” to Chase.

I would recommend that you ask the salespeople detailed questions about the installation of your system, especially the inverter. We are very happy with the location of our panels (back of the house) but shocked at the placement of the control panel. The plans were not detailed, so this layout (6 ft from front corner of house) was not clear. Plus everything was done via docusign. They blamed their poor communication on COVID, which is ridiculous, since my wife was at home due to COVID. Plus my phone works fine. When they came to install the new electrical panel, required for solar, they ripped out a $50 hibiscus plant and just tossed it aside like it was garbage, plus a lot of other overgrowth. When we complained about the look, they offered to purchase the plants shown to mask the installation. Then they broke our sprinkler system planting them. I fixed the sprinklers myself because I didn’t want to deal with them anymore.

If you are doing a new roof, gutters and solar, put the gutters in after the solar. The Alltech installers damaged the brand new gutters by leaning their ladders against them, without using a gutter stabilizer. They might have put the inverter closer to the new electrical panel, had the new downspout not been there. I don’t know why they didn’t put it perpendicular to the electrical panel, behind the preexisting shrubs. Our roofer also complained about extra holes they punched in the roof, which weren’t in the plans he received. And then there’s all the electrical conduit everywhere. Bleh.

Summary, their communication and respect for our property just sucked. System seems to work fine, technically. Timeline completed as promised. The plants are nice. We are producing more solar than we’re using. Hence the 3/5.

From the beginning, my experience with Alltech Solar was great! I did research on my own prior to reaching out to any solar company. The first company said all i needed was a subpanel and could put whatever size solar I wanted. The second company gave me a quote without even looking at my electrical panel or roof. Then there was Alltech!!!. Julian answered all my questions AND explained everything so I could make make more informed decisions from racking, panel size and type, micro inverters and the actual system size based on current and future needs. Low and behold i needed a new roof, BUT could save by waiting on a subpanel and just getting 13 panels on my current electrical panel (still 125% of my needs) and upgrading later. The quoted price was even lower than the other 2 competitors.
The demand for solar was high at the time of my agreement because of the NEM deadline so the project didn't get started for 4mos. (Which i was informed of PLUS it was raining so couldn't do roof anyways) But once they got started 3d for entire roof!!! (Which was amazing), then another day for solar installation, then inspection and approval. All in all 1month from start of new roof to green light to start using!!.....i never met Chase but everyone he hired was great! It was easier contacting Cody with questions if i needed to talk to someone, but Julian always responded to text within a day! Panels are working great so far and producing at stated kwh. I would highly recommend Alltech!!!

What's not to like here? Alltech is the best. We contacted Alltech late last year after getting several other quotes. Alltech were the only ones who actually bothered to get up on my roof to get measurements (we also needed to get our roof replaced). While other solar companies sent sales people that alarmingly could not answer basic technical questions or pushed roof materials and extra panels we did not need, Ken and Chase know their stuff and only offered bids that fit our actual power usage. Out of all the quotes we got, Alltech was the most competitive with the best value.

Ken and Chase were easy to communicate with and always happy to answer my constant concerns and questions. Anytime I had a concern, they always took their time to explain the why's of a process and did their best to accommodate our many requests. They hired an excellent subcontractor to redo our roof, and we got our inspection and permission to operate not long after.

TLDR: Alltech gave the best price quote, has technically knowledgeable people, and are extremely easy to communicate with. If you want solar for your home, look no further.

Overall I’m satisfied with Alltech however I’m disappointed with their lack of follow through post Solar installation. The one thing they could have done better is the finishing touches. They had to break my stucco apart in in order to install a new electrical panel. After asking Ken multiple times for them to come out and repair my stucco, it’s still not fixed. It’s been almost a year since the installation. Ken keeps just telling me how busy they are and that someone will come out to fix it. It looks pretty bad and just not professional customer service.

I can’t understand where the less than 5 star ratings are coming from. I have been using AllTech Solar for the past 7 years and have experienced nothing but the best, most responsive and professional service from any Solar company I have worked with in 10 years. The market for solar has had many companies start up and disappear within a couple of years and leaving the consumer with little to no recourse for service on their installed system. I was one of these consumers, and tried a few companies throughout San Diego, that proved to be unresponsive, unreliable, and practiced somewhat questionable business practices. I was lucky to locate All Tech Solar and work directly with Chase Carmody, he has always been honest, responsive, professional and somewhat generous while conducting business with military veterans. The communication between Chase and myself have been outstanding, he monitors my system, and is extremely responsive to verify the need of inverter replacements. He does the verification with Enphase, gets replacement(s) ordered, and informs me as soon as they are available for installation. I have rarely experienced customer service of his caliber in any business of recent years.

All tech Solar is the only Solar company I will conduct business with.
