I had ALIVE Solar replace a solar inverter that another company installed. They did a great job! They were very experienced, knowledgeable, efficient and fast. They scheduled the installation for the next day, since they have the same inverter in stock and immediately answered every questions when I contacted them. Their price was reasonable.

Long overdue review. My system went online in January 2023. Carol helped me sized the system to my satisfaction and walked me through the entire process. Install team was pretty good with one minor issue of putting a nail through my exposed roof (that I warned them about) but it was fixed to my satisfaction.

This is a great company! I highly recommend them for any questions you may have regarding solar. It's hard to find honest and reputable people in the solar industry. They went above and beyond to help get my system back up and running. Jeremy was awesome to deal with! He helped get parts warrantied out and replaced. My technician, Javier did all the troubleshooting and installing on site. He was very courteous and thorough in his job. I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. Don't hesitate to reach out to them, they are the best!

Whoever drives the company vehicle that is a blue ford truck needs to seriously be evaluated by your company. 11.27 driving on the 78 going towards the 15 freeway. Whoever that person was driving almost caused numerous accidents and tailgated multiple cars. If your going to have a company logo on your car make sure whoever is driving isn’t a want to be race car driver nearly causing accidents.

I had an extremely unprofessional and deeply frustrating experience with Alive Solar and Roofing. I started this project with a simple goal: to have solar roofing and batteries installed in my home. Initially, I didn't need to spend anything, but I followed every one of their recommendations before we could even proceed--upgrading my electrical panel, removing the HVAC unit from the roof, upgrading the roof, and even going with their recommended HVAC contractor. After investing a significant amount of money and trust, when it came time for them to do their part, the situation turned into a nightmare.

I approached this project in good faith, treating their team with respect and professionalism every step of the way. I worked closely with them, communicated regularly, and repeatedly asked if they needed anything further from my side. Just two weeks before the agreed start date, they reassured me that everything was on track and ready to go.

Then, things took a disastrous turn between October 1 and October 3. On October 1--the very day their team confirmed they would be on-site--without any prior notice, the roofing installation was canceled and delayed without a clear future date. This was especially egregious because two other contractors (my HVAC contractor and electrician) were at my house at the same time to coordinate with their work. I had rearranged my entire personal schedule to accommodate them, as had the other contractors. Then, to make matters worse, on October 3, Alive Solar and Roofing abruptly canceled the contract altogether, claiming "we weren't a good fit." This occurred just after I professionally expressed my frustrations over their continuous delays and poor communication.

To add insult to injury, the roofing manager called me multiple times on the day they were supposed to start, asking if he could come in person to apologize and explain the situation. We agreed, and after waiting for an hour, I called him back. His response? He claimed no one answered the door--despite having called me multiple times earlier. Even more disturbing, he admitted to speaking with the HVAC contractors and trespassing onto my roof without explicit permission. He did this without an apology or acknowledgment of the violation. We never gave him permission to go onto our roof, and yet he took it upon himself to do so.

Throughout this ordeal, they made bizarre comparisons between life and a contractual job, which completely sidestepped any meaningful discussion. Instead of addressing the real issues at hand, they trivialized my concerns with vague, dismissive life lessons. The entire experience was not only frustrating but deeply unprofessional.

You know what? Maybe they're right--we weren't a good fit. I'm professional, and they are not.

I don't know whether their ego was bruised or if there was some other issue, but the way they handled this situation was beyond unprofessional. For a company that claims to have been in business for 14 years, you'd expect they would have a process to deal with problems like these. Unfortunately, they don't. They failed to communicate, failed to schedule properly, and failed to show even the slightest bit of accountability.

If you're considering Alive Solar and Roofing, don't. I deeply regret ever trusting them with such an important project. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this company at all costs.

They scheduled the installation for the next day after receiving the equipment and immediately answered every time I contacted them. Their price was reasonable, in fact a bit less than one of the other solar installers I had called.

Our remodel and solar roof install has been a nightmarish journey that feels like a follow up to The Money Pit, and I may request Tom Hanks play me in the eventual movie release. Between contractors from hell and Tesla unceremoniously cancelling our roofing contract w/o warning, the only real shining light has been their referral to ALIVE Solar. Adam, Mike, and team have been the most honest, hardworking, dedicated, and quality-driven part of this project. Their phone numbers are the only ones that don't give me a panic attack when I see them show up on my caller ID! And I suspect our Tesla Solar Roof will outlast the rest of the structure. They have always been transparent and fair, and I know we are getting what we paid for from their team (as long as I get those aerial drone photos Mike promised at the end 😉 ) Thank you!
