An ACRT agent showed up unannounced and claimed "eminent domain". We discovered PGE lines were NOT touching my Acacia but he explained we might as well do it now rather than in a few years. He understood that I wanted ALL my tree cuttings for firewood. For the hour and a half we waited for the late cutters Freddy asked and we repeatedly discussed my desired cut wood dimensions, where to put it and even how to season it for burning. Unexpectedly I had to go for 40 min but was back before I said. Clearly they sped up and later admitted to cutting double what was agreed ... AND TOOK ALL MY WOOD. Though he answered cell calls while we waited, he did not answer my frantic calls for 3 days then said "They just chipped it. There's nothing I can do." A year and a half later after many dozens of promises to get me back over $700 of my tree's wood and dozens of complaints filed w PGE who contracted them, it turns out PGE sanctions their intentional theft of my asset. They came in as sneak wolves through the PGE trust door. Customers: BEWARE. Still seeking resolution. Suggestions?

To that tom guy, ACRT got furloughed at the end of the year. They were no longer working.

I've recently had PG&E ony property putting in trees. Let me tell you, after 2 or 3 years of dealing with ACRT I am baffled at PG&E quality. The communication between me and ACRT was always great. PG&E didn't even call me to notify me about the initial inspection nor did they call me after. I do not want PG&E on my property.

just what I wanted another answering machine or voicemail. I just called the office to try to figure out why PG&E would even use these clowns. You leave me a tag on my door. I see it and immediately get back to you. I get voicemail. I leave two additional messages asking for someone to have the decency to get back to me. They want permission to take out a tree on my property and don’t even put a tag on it so I know what the hell they’re talking about. To add two additional horrible customer service I called the office. Certainly they can answer the phone. Nope another voicemail. I’ll give them till the end of today and then I’ll file a complaint with PG&E and request that the utility commission should look into their horrible customer service. Given that these services are being passed on to the customer, I find this unacceptable. It’s a shame they don’t have minus stars.

All I see them do is drive around. Or parked along side the road. They also hang around the campground restrooms. Just saw one of them run into a rock wall while trying to park. I guess driving skills isn’t a priority with them. Sure is a bunch of them!

A lot of people are unfortunately not completely informed as of what exactly these PG&E contractors are tasks with. There are a few scopes that PG&E does throughout the year. One is yearly maintenance and the other is a more aggressive approach in HIGH FIRE RISK AREAS. Yes PG&E has the right of way near their facilities, they also have the obligation of assessing any tree TALL ENOUGH to strike the lines and if that tree has potential hazardous factors, then the tree is to be marked for removal. The wood left behind is left because it is essentially your wood/asset. They can cut it up for you in to 4 to 6 foot lengths or remove it completely. If a chip truck can't access the debris it is chopped up and scattered. They can not remove the wood without your permission. Sometimes its a budget issue and they can no longer offer wood management. Sometimes its a miss communication with the tree crews. The tree assessors are supposed to communicate with you. They attempt 3 times to make contact and then they will either proceed with the inspection or pass the parcel on to their supervisors. If you do not agree with the inspection you can be a refusal and keep your trees but will have to sign papers. Some companies are more aggressive than others and you can always do a walk through of the work and discuss why this tree has to go. In some locations assessments are a yearly thing, so yes, you will be getting calls or door hangers every year or multiple times a year depending on the location and scope. Most the the inspectors have a degree in forestry or science and love the environment and love these beautiful trees. They are just doing their job. They dont know what company was there last, they dont know why wood was left on your property a year ago. They are there for you and to protect your community. Talk to them, ask them questions, get to know them, dont blame them. They have it hard because people think they are actually PG&E. They can't help you with service drops or old pots you want removed or why the power was out for 2 weeks. It could be in your benefit to be nice.
Edit: I'd also like to add that these trees on your property are YOUR TREES. They are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to take care of them and to keep them away from PG&E powerlines. If you fail to do so, PG&E will cut them backup 12 feet or more from the powerlines. In most cases you'd have to hire a certified utility arborist which can be pricey.

It has been over two months that I met with an ACRT employee to fill out paperwork to have gigantic logs removed from our property in the Stanislaus National Forest. It has created a safety hazard and we are unable to access our property/cabin. It is a fire safety issue which California certainly does not need.

they illegally blocked my driveway forcing me and my 83 year old grandmother (who has lupus) to park far down the road. I left a polite note explaining they couldn't park there. I watched as they came back, begrudgingly took the note off, littered it on my neighbors car, and STILL LEFT THEIR CAR THERE.

This company is contacted to PGE and came into our neighborhood with a bang a couple of weeks ago. However, they have left us with huge pieces of timber that can't be moved without machinery, piles of unchipped brush, trees that have not been cut that were supposed to, trees that were cut that they weren't supposed to, and many, many upset and angry people. Have tried numerous times to reach their Consulting Utility Forester Ashlee Geist, who promised but didn't deliver and her superior Danny Godwin, but calls have been ignored and they seem to have put their heads in the sand thinking we'll just go away.....BUT WE WON'T! Have escalated with a complaint to PGE, will now contact their corporate department....
