We called Billy yesterday to get a quote to trim our trees. He was at our house within 1/2 hour. He and his crew arrived this morning and did everything that needed to be done and suggested some things that we hadn’t even thought about. Billy and his guys were professional, quick, neat and a pleasure to be around. They left our property cleaner than it had been before they got here. I would definitely recommend them for any tree service needs that you might have.

After meeting with several other tree companies I felt comfortable with their expertise and their detailed description of how they would trim the giant pecan tree in the front on my house. I had a 100ft Fruitless Mulberry that had split down the center over night. This tree had been trimmed regularly, the last time by Davey Tree Service. I called Davey and Master Tree Care, the other company that had trimmed it in the past. I was terrified that it would fall on our home and our neighbors. In many cases I got answering machines and left messages, none of which were returned I might add. A representative of Davey’s actually answered the phone and said they could come out Monday, this was Friday morning. I said this is an emergency, someone’s property is going to be damaged and hopefully nobody will be hurt. I was told, “sorry, that the best we can do”. Their best wasn’t good enough! I called Billy at A Better View Tree Service and he agreed this was an emergency. He was on his way. Prior to his arrival unfortunately, half of the tree fell, hitting our house. Now the biggest concern was stopping the other half from falling onto our neighbors home. Billy and his brother arrived and managed to secure the standing portion so that it didn’t fall. They worked on our tree for 11 days straight in temperatures up to 103. The tree portion that had fallen on the back of our house had also taken up the entire backyard, giving them very little room to work in, but they managed to get it done. They even helped us and removed the smaller limbs so that the Sacramento Zoo could come out and take 4 truck loads back for the animals at the zoo. They are the hardest and most considerate workers you can imagine. They may be a smaller company but they really put everything they have into getting the job done, and doing it well. We were in a vulnerable position and they could’ve easily taken advantage of us with the cost, but they were more than fair. Honestly, the bill should’ve been quite a bit more because it turned into a much bigger job than initially thought. But, they honored their quote and never said a word. I will use them in the future for all our tree needs. If you want great service from a fair company, support small business because family owned businesses like this are the ones that have your back in an emergency. Davey’s and Master Tree Care are only concerned with the bottom line! Thank you Billy for caring about our home and saving our neighbors home!

Extremely happy with the job Billy and his team did. Communication was there and impeccable flow of teamwork. Mind you it was a small job, compared to others I’m sure, they still treated it with the upmost importance and I appreciate that they didn’t rush through it just to get paid. They really know their tree stuff and a better view is surely guaranteed!

Fast,safe,friendly,clean! I have a large Mayberry to pollard all the way down and two smaller junk trees to remove. This was a big job,and Billy brought enough guys in to do the job in two days! Couldn't have been happier. Would use again and recommend to anyone

Well, what to say about “A Better Tree Service” ? I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER !
It started with the estimator Jeff. He is a certified Arborist, he quickly identified all of the trees in the front yard except one, but then I guess there aren’t many Montezuma (Bald) Cypress trees (Taxodium mucronatum) in Sacramento. Hamilton Square Garden has at least one but I am told the trees are not labeled.
A crew of 6 men showed up this morning (6/27/19) to trim my Eucalyptus trees. It was clear they came to work. They looked at the job, +/-20 trees to trim and got to work.
The lift they brought to the job site is not truck mounted so it did not interfere with wiring, other companies had told me I would have to have SMUD out to drop the power to the house so they could get their lift truck into the driveway. They worked safely, efficiently and were organized. Each crew member knew what to do and how to do it. Crew leader Eric was professional and knowledgable and all crew members were polite.
One additional but very important thing is that I had 6 estimates and A Better Tree Service was the lowest.

Billy asked for my business and it worked out. He gave me a good quote, showed up on time, left the area super clean, made the job look easy. What I really liked is that he communicated every change with me, when he found another way to do it he knocked and we discussed. He kept saying once I cut I can’t put it back lol. Again clearly knows what he’s doing and left area super clean and also made suggestion in a educational way.
