They were open through the Hurricane Helene!! Running power from his truck to provide power to the store,..He even helped people who needed cash due to everything being shut down,..portable ATM he was!! A true good dude looking out for the people of Claxton and surrounding areas like that!! Good folks do exist! My wife gave them 5 stars! New owners, new look, new kitchen, Carlos is still on the scene doin what he does best...Cookin some good ole country soul food!! Go check them out!! You won't be disappointed!! FYI..They said they cook through the night til 2 a.m.

I heard the gas station is under new management so decided to check it out myself—SO HAPPY I DID. It’s super clean, staff is friendly, helpful and the overall vibe is exactly what Claxton needed. Gas is no longer Shell (changed to BP).

I spoke to the new owners too - they are excited to be a part of Claxton community and have a lot of fun ideas for the near future.

A little advice...if Cameron Sapp is working the deli you're in for a treat and fast, friendly experience. If the lady is cooking then stay away! She is the rudest person I've ever met in my life and from what I hear she is running off many customers. I eat there several times a week...or rather I USED to. I went in the other night at 8:40pm. The lady behind the deli counter pretended not to see me and I waited 10 minutes before I finally asked, "are you cooking?" Very rudely she said, "what you want?" I asked for the chicken liver dinner. She replied, "I ain't cooking no livers this time of night." I informed her that I come in several nights a week for the same order and even after 9pm some nights and the young kid, Cameron always cooks it and is super friendly. One of the clerks apologized for the woman's behavior and even gave me the store number so I could call and make sure this woman was not working before I drive there. Tonight, i called to see if Cameron was cooking but this same woman answered the phone. I asked if Cameron was working but she wanted to know why, she refused to tell me AND she was so rude and hung up on me! I for one will NEVER eat at or do business with this store again. Whoever owns this business, I can tell you that she is running off many customers. I went to Dairy Queen instead to spend my money.
