Sun Power's (Now Sun Strong's) inability to handle a lease transfer held up my escrow by an extra month, and despite the fact I no longer own the house in question, are telling me I'm on the hook for the lease because they AGAIN cannot process their own paperwork.

I now have a consult with an attorney next week.

DO NOT BUY A HOME WITH SUN POWER/SUN STRONG SOLAR PANELS.

We did not have a choice this is the company our builder went with. If you have a choice DO NOT do business with these people. Problems since the start. Appointment that you have been waiting months for to fix your less than a year old malfunctioning panels CANCELED with no notification. Still on hold to try and get this resolved!

Hi hate this company. Before going with any solar company I did my research and this was one of came up the best. Oh I was wrong.Better business bureau was wrong. I've had my system.Maybe about a year and a 1/2 don't know how well it's performing or anything like that.My backup battery stopped working right before.They went under they sent someone that supposed to fix it and they never did. Now, since they went under my warranty is possibility void it.

I hate this company. Sold my house 4 months ago, they wont transfer the leased panels to the new owners so I'm still on the hook to pay the monthly bills or they will hit my credit report. I'm active duty military, so a hit on my report could get me in trouble. But SunPower doesn't care. DO not buy or lease from them, they will screw you in the end, don't trust me, read all the other 1 start reviews. this company is trash.

They don't honor their contractual obligation to perform service. We haven't had any solar generation for almost 3 months. They use third party service technicians that don't either show up or can't get the job done. It's been an ongoing issue for 2 years. I am not exaggerating.

I feel like I got screwed for trying to expand my system before the 2.0 to 3.0 change. I had 9 panels previously installed bought and installed by SunPower, then they sold me 15 more to max out my back roof. Little did they want to mention that it would be a completely separate system where they wouldn't integrate it with their existing system that had wiring within my walls, they instead installed ghetto-rigged long twisted conduit up the side of my house for the new panels and new breaker boxes and another SunPower box outside of my house where my existing 9 panels is on the inside. The panels are also installed differently where their existing ones are flush with my roof and the new ones are on a bracket that requires some type of chicken wire underneath to keep birds out. Ghetto rigged and rushed is the simplest way to put it.. what a mistake..

my account is under christian vaca and Ruth Vaca, I would never recommend sun power their customer service is far below any rating could go. First when I got the panels through my new home build, I was unable to speak to ANYBODY about their services and what I would get as a warranty or what options we could explore. Second, their activation timeframe was prolonged more than expected. and their customer service line never is answered by anyone that actually knows how to properly speak to a valued customer. Dan and Mia last helped me and they clearly do not understand the value of someones time as my call lasted on hold for nearly 1 hr. just to be told I would need to wait for my case number and have someoen call me back.

The only good experience I have had are with the individual workers that have came to my home to service the system. Nick was so kind and understanding.

And on top of that they promise to compensate for malfunctions and at the end of the day claim that they never offered a compensation for nonfunctioning days. They try telling you that the panels are still working and that our electric usage probably just went up when I have proof that my panels were not performing to their standard on the days my case was in effect.

I have a new case created now for this terrible experience, lets see if they ever do contact me regarding this issue. Sad to say that I will be paying to this company for the duration of the loan.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

*update—It took 18 months and over 100 emails and over 200 phone calls to try to get a hold of someone to send us the payment they owed. The comment they left on here made it seem like they were being assertive and helping us, but they did not help us one bit. We had to get a lawyer involved for them to listen and actually take a look at how much they owed us and send us the payment.

Been trying to get payment back for when the system wasn't working. The company keeps emailing that they will get back to us at a certain date or will call back and they haven't. We have been emailing and trying to get this done for over half a year. I am getting ready to call a lawyer or send it in to Let Joe Know so something will actually get done. We have given them all the information they have asked for and they still won't do their job and get us the payment they owe us.
