UPDATE: I spoke with the owner regarding my situation. He stated he was very busy that day and just did not have a chance to call me about the cost of the work. He said he has worked with other landlords and it’s not common practice for him to call to discuss the work prior to completing it. He said he actually did me a favor by completing all of the work in one visit instead of charging me another $159 fee to come out a second time and he thought I was going to call to thank him. The solutions he offered were to come back out and put the broken equipment back (which seems like more work for someone that busy) or to give me a 10% discount to make me happy, but so he doesn’t lose money on this job. I told him I didn’t want to pay the $159 fee that I wasn’t informed of ahead of time and he did not agree to that. My tenant said they were great and the work was done well, he does insure the work for a year… but I am not sure yet whether I would use them again after this interaction.

Communication was very poor. Called earlier in the week to set up work for a rental property. They were able to schedule a technician to come out quickly, but did not disclose over the phone that there is a $159 fee for them to even go out for the service.
Over the phone, I asked them to call me once they arrived to let me know what the cost would be. Nobody called me, I even requested an estimate from the technician a few hours later and he never responded.
I just received a bill for almost $750 for not only the work I requested, but additional work that I was not aware of that I did not personally authorize. I think it’s understandable that I feel taken advantage of. Have worked with a lot of contractors for rental properties and have never had someone complete work without discussing it or giving an estimate on cost and just sent a large bill a few days later.

We’ve had Conejo Valley Electric do various jobs from big to small, replacing our panel, installing lights throughout the house, running new wires through the attic and all of the electricians have been top notch and professional. Billy bends over backwards to make sure the job is done right.

Brian and another gentleman fixed a number of my electrical issues. The most important was rewiring my fence with all new lighting. It came out way better than before. They diagnosed the issue and provided their recommendation which turned out to be the right call. These guys are good at what they do and very honest. Highly recommend using them! I know I'll be calling them going forward for all my electrical needs.

Outstanding! We are very pleased with the work Billy and his team from Conejo Valley Electric did at our home. We needed 3 light fixtures upgraded to LED recessed lights and an additional 8 lights added. CVE We also relocated 2 lights and added 4 ceiling fans which required wire runs, ceiling boxes and switches.
I had several bids but elected to go with Billy due the reviews I read on Yelp as well as the feedback I received from neighbors. In addition, Billy is one of the few electricians who will finish the job so it is paint ready. In fact, my painter is here now touching things up and is so impressed with the paint ready finish work that CVE did that he has asked for their contact details.
Billy’s pricing was very reasonable and the quality of work was fantastic. As other reviewers have indicated his guys show up on time, they take care to drape and cover the adjacent work area to minimize dust & mess and they clean up after themselves. They were professional courteous and they worked hard. We are very happy with the results and we will defiantly be calling Billy and the guys at Conejo Valley Electric for any future electrical needs. Highly recommend!

UPDATED 10/22/2019 - Our local power company has a new program where they may turn off your power unexpectedly in high winds in an effort to prevent fires. Since I have a deep freeze I felt it was time to have a transfer switch installed on my electric panel so I could run my home on a generator in the event this were to occur. In order to do this I needed to upgrade my 40 year old panel and I decided to have a solar ready one installed as I intend to have solar added at some point. I obtained 4 estimates and since they were all about the same, I went with Conejo Valley Electric since I was happy with their work in the past. Great Outcome. New panel and a seperate sub-panel for those circuits I will run on the generator when necessary. I'm also now solar ready. Billy and his guys did a great job including the finish work drywall and stucco repairs. I was very happy with Conejo Valley Electric and will use them again.

UPDATED 01-04-2020 - During the holiday break I noticed an intermittent problem with one of the circuits outside related to my pool equipment. I had been worried I might have trouble getting someone out to look at it so soon after the holidays (Jan 2nd) but I called Billy at Conejo Valley Electric and he stopped by to have a look. He sorted that problem out and mentioned I wanted to add some recessed lighting over my kitchen breakfast bar. He had his guys out the next day and made quick work of it and the pricing was very reasonable. Moreover he didn't charge me for the service call to look at the problem he fixed the previous day. We continue to be very happy with the service provided by Conejo Valley Electric. Happy New Year!

DO NOT HESITATE. So grateful to Conejo electric. They are honest with their pricing, upfront, transparent, professional & do an amazing job. Urbano (the guy that came out for our estimate) is prompt, communicative, feels like he works around the clock. Urbano you are amazing, thank you for your quick work. Once Urbano sent the estimates, we approved them (which we were beyond pleased with $ wise) and then from their Billy called & confirmed when his guys where coming out, which was the very next day. I appreciated the constant communication that this company has. They were never late, always on time. We hired them for 3 different jobs and will always continue to hire them and refer them to anyone. They do clean work, minimal damage to any structure if drilling needs to be done (which eliminated the need of a contractor) and they do professional work. I absolutely trust Conejo with all and any electrical needs. Being a female I think it can be hard to know who to trust and also trust the men coming into your home especially if you are alone. I want to share that I never felt unsafe, disrespected or taken advantage of at any point. I called 5 electricians to get estimates and Conejo was the best. The most important highlight is their TRANSPARENCY. The honesty and integrity in their work is something you don't come by so often these day. THANK YOU CONEJO TEAM!

Conejo Valley Electric was absolutely wonderful! I called for a bunch of concerns and had an appointment set for the following day. Billy was attentive and prompt in setting me up for success. On the service day, Damien and Martine went above and beyond with stellar service. They helped fix a Ring doorbell transformer issue, several wonky and half working outlets, they checked my smoke alarm wiring was intact and were thorough, honest and took their time. I was pleased from the time I called and spoke to the owner to the end of the job! I will definitely be using Conejo Valley Electric for my electric needs going further!
